  1. I'm trying to find out exactly what state we are in at the moment. May 21st - NVC answers an email saying they have received my case from USCIS and are waiting to process it. This would have occurred sometime after May 9th which is the last time I had messaged them and they said they don't have it. USCIS case status (our old friend https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus) was checked today for this first time and forever because it used to just say the case was approved. Now it says: The current NVC processing times say: I don't understand how these pieces of information fit together. Is the USCIS status actually an update from NVC? I guess that makes the most sense, but I find it surprising because I thought NVC and USCIS were pretty separate entities.
  2. Thanks guys, and I know that we do have it better than most and I will try to remind my fiance that. It's her more than me that is really just taking it hard, and I imagine if we had a guarantee of a date when it would be all over it would alleviate things a ton. Best of luck to all of you as well. I just called USCIS using the ol Infopass method and the agent there was nice but basically unlike what others experienced wouldn't tell me a thing until we pass the 90 day mark.
  3. I know it sounds crazy to say this, but 90 days might kill us at this point. She is asking me every day if I have gotten an email from NVC... Tomorrow is 60. We have been living above her grandpa as a "temporary" solution for 5 months now.
  4. Ugh so basically the rest of us March receptients are going to have to wait until the 23rd now to see if they are doing anything with our applications?
  5. I know, how long can this keep happening to us that everything is so much longer than the estimates and precedent? Our lives are just ticking away in limbo here.
  6. Aren't you talking about something different from the original poster though? They aren't talking about NVC mailing petitions, they are talking about NVC not having received it at all. I'm In the same boat, about to hit two months and NVC is telling me in emails they still don't have my case and will check with USCIS.
  7. It is really nuts how you cling on to the hope that finally something will progress close to the old timeframes this used to take and of course it's twice as long. 46 days and counting...
