  1. 3-year rule with a pending I-751.
  2. Ugh, I am still waiting for my interview to be scheduled. My husband and I just discovered that we're expecting our first baby. I just want this process to be over soon. Is anyone else still waiting? Applied 03/04
  3. That is amazing news! Congrats! 3 year - or 5 year rule? I'm still waiting patiently for mine to be scheduled.
  4. Oh wow, that is amazing news. I am in Los Angeles as well (San Fernando Valley field office). I'm in the valley. Really hope I will get mine soon too.
  5. I did a couple of days ago. They said there is nothing new and my case is processing normally.
  6. Am I the only one still waiting for the actual interview to be scheduled?
  7. Hi, I filed on 03/04 (90-day rule, 3 years after GC) and I am still waiting for my interview to be scheduled as well. San Fernando Valley Field Office.
  8. Is anyone else still waiting for their interview to be scheduled? My local field office is the 'San Fernando Valley Field Office'.
  9. Does one have to request to be interviewed for both (I-751 & N-400)? I figured USCIS would do that automatically since I don't qualify for citizenship unless my I-751 got approved.
  10. Hello, I want to clarify that I'm not a lawyer and cannot provide legal advice. However, according to various online sources, tickets under $500 typically don't necessitate additional evidence, although it's advisable. Additionally, you can submit extra evidence through your online USCIS account. From my understanding, this shouldn't typically cause a delay in your case, but I can't say for certain. Just make sure you bring the receipt to your interview. If you're worried about it, contact an attorney. They can further assist you.
  11. Oh wow, that is awesome! Really hope I get mine soon as well. Fingers crossed and good luck !
  12. That is very true! Yes, we went with two of our best friends, so they're in a lot of these photos.
  13. Super random question, but has anyone ever submitted vacation photos in a bathing suit? Is that appropriate? I took my husband to Mexico for his 30th birthday, and we considered submitting some of the photos as additional evidence. *Update: I know it's probably not even necessary, but figured I would ask anyway.
  14. They usually schedule your interview 4 weeks in advance. Sometimes 5 or 6 weeks. However, we also just applied not even 2 months ago. I would say just be patient. My local office is in San Fernando Valley and their processing time for N-400 is approx. 7 months. I was under the impression that I won't hear from them until August / September.
  15. Likewise. Filed on 03/04, but I haven't received any updates yet. However, I'll have to wait a bit longer as my 3-year Green Card anniversary falls on June 1st, which means I won't be able to attend the interview before then anyway.
  16. Hi everyone, I just received an email from USCIS about an inquiry I made. However, I don't actually know what this is about since I haven't made an inquiry... . Has anyone else received the same thing? The email came from the official USCIS email address. It says: (blanked out personal information with ---------) "Dear -------, This email is to confirm the USCIS Contact Center received your inquiry. This inquiry is regarding: Contact Name: --------- Service Item Number: ---------- Inquiry Issue: Case Status Receipt Number: ---------- Email for Contact: ---------- Phone Number to Contact: ---------- Inquiry Received Date: 3/4/2024 (this is my filing date) The USCIS Contact Center has a response time goal of 30 days based on your Issue. There is no need to contact us again regarding this inquiry and will respond to your inquiry as soon as we are able. You may receive a response by email, or we may need to call you for additional information." Does anyone know what this is about? I contacted USCIS and spoke with an agent. However, she was unable to give me a definitive answer.
  17. Fingers crossed, but we submitted so much other evidence that I doubt it! I also remember submitting only the front pages of our bank statements during AOS filing, and never had any issues with that.
  18. I only submitted the front page, where they can see how much money went in and out of the account (and of course our names and address). Starting 2020 - 2024. I submitted four for each year and two for 2024!
  19. My N-400 timeline just changed from 5 months back to 7 😐
  20. yea I did! Attached everything they asked for + 4 tax returns, bank statements, lease agreements, planned trip receipts, shared health, dental, vision insurance, car insurance, shared assets, and some other things. Basically the most important things we accumulated since filing I-751!
  21. I think It’s usually about 4-6 weeks in advance.
  22. That is of course up to you and all depends on how quick your local field office is, however, my current timeline says 5 months, which would be August or possibly earlier. I‘ve seen multiple people say that theirs was scheduled as soon as they were eligible to become naturalized, so in that case 2 or 3 months from now.
  23. My bad, I responded to the wrong one, and since I can’t delete it, I edited it to this 🙃.
  24. Hi everyone, Happy Monday! Does anyone know if they will continue working on the I-751 application if N-400 is submitted? I recently lost my expired Green Card after a trip to Germany and received an I-551 Stamp. However, the airline I flew with (Delta in Cancun, Mexico), was unfamiliar with those stamps and had to contact immigration, which caused me almost to miss my flight. I assume they will probably work on it all at once now that my local field office has my case, but I figured I could ask anyway.
  25. That is amazing! Same here. Can't wait to be done with this entire process 🙃!
