  1. Thank you - I have reached out and will see if he has receipt. Yes I am in Illinois.
  2. This is my first time hearing the lockbox terminology. Is it some sort of secure address / location where physical filings are sent? Are all I-765 filings sent here? I suppose the best step, as you mentioned, is checking with my attorney and reaching out to them accordingly.
  3. I was looking at the case processing tabs of VJ: https://www.visajourney.com/times/ . Maybe I am interpreting that incorrectly, though? Another question; shouldn't a notice of receipt and case number have been sent to us by now? The potential wait time isn't as concerning to me as that.
  4. Hey all, I checked current processing times and it looks like work authorizations (form I-765) from December 2024 are currently being processed. My wife's K-1 visa was approved earlier in 2024. We were married in July 2024 and within a few months had filed all subsequent necessary documents, including the I-765. Every other document has been assigned a case number and has been confirmed either as received or in process. The I-765 is not listed. Maybe this is due to the fact it was initially filed with an incorrect fee. I can actually see that case was denied on 10/18/24 for that reason - there was a discrepancy in the fee our attorney sent and an updated fee based on filing other documents. We re-filed a new I-765 in mid-November, however, and the case is not shown anywhere nor has a new case number been assigned. We have reached out to USCIS support that gave a copy and pasted line about how things can take a while. I asked them at what point should I be taking any action given there's a slim possibility the mail was either lost or somehow sent to the wrong address. I was then given the same copy and pasted line and disconnected. I've also tried an email inquiry with USCIS which I was told was received and that they'd try to reply, about two weeks ago, but no response there either. Given there is no new case number assigned yet should I be concerned, or am I just experiencing unlucky variance on timing. Maybe with the new admin and general chaos there have been delays (layoffs?) and I should continue waiting? Or is thre any proactive action I should take? Thank you, Phil
  5. Hi all, the my fiance's visa was approved a few months ago and about a month ago was transferred to the US embassy in Bangkok. Since then though, absolutely no luck finding an interview slot. Just wondering what others' timelines may look like and if this is fairly typical. I started checking myself on a daily basis about a week ago but was a bit sporadic before that. Also, are there any tricks or tips to being able to get a slot? Perhaps a certain time of day they tend to add open slots to their calendar. Thank you!
  6. Thank you for the reply. Do you happen to know of a post that has the info on the Fed-ex hack? I looked for a bit in these forums but couldn't find anything. One other question, where do I go to check the case status ahead of receiving the NVC welcome packet? Also, for anyone else reading the thread, I heard back today from the NVC inquiry email and was told they never received my I-797 approval notice from USCIS! Has this happened to anyone else and how much should I expect this to delay the overall process?
  7. Hi all, our I-129F was approved on 6/19/23 and we have still not received anything from the NVC. The letter said it should be processed within 4 weeks - are they just delayed right now? I submitted an inquiry through the NVC's system on 8/1 and received an automatic reply that it had been received but nothing sincer. Also, was there some step we missed in terms of sending forms? The letter says we just wait until processing, then are assigned an interview time, and while waiting for that time to come it was my impression we'd complete any required forms as well as medical exams, etc. Is that how it works? Thanks,
  8. Hi everyone, been lurking and following this thread for a while now and decided to make an account to post that I received RFE on 4/13 for our case filed 2/15/21. Fiance is from Thailand. A few questions; first, how long should we expect to wait to receive the RFE in the mail? Second, we are using an attorney who I believe at the start of the process we designated to receive all correspondence/docs, will they be receiving the RFE in the mail as opposed to me? Third, what does the timeline look like after replying to them and them receiving the requested info? Thanks and good luck to the rest of you on speedy approvals.
