  1. I’m in the same boat. I recently got my US citizenship and I need to travel to India in Oct 1st week. I’ve already applied for Renunciation and there is no time for OCI before travel. So evisa is the only way forward. The evisa application is pretty straightforward and I’ve also filled it up temporarily. There is only one question that is confusing See the attached screenshot. Because I was an Indian citizen, I have visited in previous years based on my citizenship, So I answered,Yes to the question "Have you ever visited India before?" But then it asks to fill the previous visa information and visa type. Because I was an Indian Citizen before, I didn't need a visa. Therefore, i’m not sure what should I fill for the following two fields: Last Indian Visa Type of Visa: I’m planning to add my Indian passport number and just select a random visa-type value from the dropdown. what are you’ll planning to do? Or have done for this section They have not designed the evisa form for naturalized India citizens who don’t have OCI.
  2. Thanks! My oath is at 8 am … i’m not sure if my family and friends will want to get up at 5 am 😅😅😂😂
  3. Hey All - I wanted to update this helpful thread on my experience. I had my interview today -8th Aug, in NYC and was approved and in a couple of hours I got the oath notice on the website for 25th Aug. The interview took less than 10 minutes. First the officer did the reading, writing and the civics questions. On the N400, he asked Full Name Do I want to change my name? Date of Birth Was I ever married? Where do I live? What work do I do? Did I ever owe taxes? Did I ever serve in the military? Describe the club that I was a member of? And how long I was a member of. Was I ever arrested? And then the three Oath of allegiance questions - support constitution, bear arms and noncombat services. And that was it. The officer didn't check for travel, tax, no word definitions. I felt very lucky and also a little anti-climatic for all the preparation I had done. But better to plan for the worst and hope for the best. Good luck to all of you!! And every who posted commented, it really helped me on listening to everyone's experiences! Now, onto getting the oath and getting that passport..
  4. Thanks for you input. One more question, when I submitted my N400, I didn't upload any transcripts. Just the GC copies because that's what the form asked. My interview is now scheduled for Aug 8th. Should I upload them now? Or would that mess with the application and I should just take the transcripts with me for the interview?
  5. Even the paper 4506-T, states that only current year and 3 years prior. See screenshot attached below. So, please let me know how you're ordering the 5th year?
  6. Were you able to order by phone the 5th year? So I'm applying under the 5-year rule. I didn't upload any transcripts when I submitted the application. My interview is scheduled for 8th August, and now when I'm downloading the transcripts, I only see 4. In this video, she says that since the IRS doesn't provided the last 5th year, you should bring the 1040 for the missing year.
  7. Folks - wanted to update that I got my interview notice today in the mail. The interview is scheduled for Aug 8th. And it was scheduled on Jun 27. Interestingly, I didn't get any email or text from USCIS that action was taken on my case. But, was surprised when I opened the mailbox this morning. Also, Queens is a bit slower (like a few than Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn .. good luck to the others.
  8. That’s amazing and congratulations on the really fast timeline. Please let us know which was your field office thank you.
  9. oh! good luck and hope yours get scheduled soon. I just wish they were consistent so that we can maintain our sanity. haha
  10. ok, so I checked with a FB group that has folks talking about their experience specific to NYC. and it seems that Queens borough is about 1 month slower than Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn. Most of them are getting their interview letters 3 months after submission and Queens is 4 months. So I'm going to take it easy for another month, considering I'm in queens and, my four month marker is mid July, and not mid June.
  11. yeah, trying not a check often and get myself distracted. Thanks for your reply. Congrats on the speedy process! Thanks for your reply!
  12. I'm getting nervous. Field Office - NYC, Queens Borough. Submitted March 3/16 Bio 4/4 Still under review. I've seen on this forum and trackitt folks with their bio 1 week after me, have got their interview notices around Jun 9-12th for end of July. This is making nervous if somethign is wrong with my application. Not sure being Indian makes a difference in N400 process. Not sure, if others have seen this happen with them.
