I am preparing for the NVC stage, and I have not yet filed taxes as I did not earn enough to meet the income requirement for filing taxes in 2022. I am planning on having my parents be the joint sponsors.
My understanding is that I need to write a letter stating the reason as to why I didn't file taxes for the 2022 tax year. I do have a form 1099 that I received from my job which shows how much I earned. I am planning on submitting the letter, the 1099 form from my job as well as have my parents be the joint sponsors.
Is my understanding correct?
