  1. I moved almost 3 weeks ago but haven’t done the transfer yet. Will be looking into it this weekend so am following this thread for any tips anyone out here has for us 🙂☺️
  2. I found 'track my visa now' to be a good estimation whilst we were waiting for our NOA2, Good Luck!
  3. The medical secretary at my practice couldn't find my full records as I've moved around in the past, including overseas, (although that might not be why they are missing) but anyway she came to a standstill on it so I made an appointment with a nurse at the practice and asked her instead. She printed out the patient care summary immediately, for free, which only covered 2012 onwards. I emailed Visa Medicals to double check and they said it was okay that i didn't have full records, to just bring what i had and they could take it from there. This could be because i have no ongoing medications or conditions, but i would advise a quick email or call to Visa Medicals if you are unsure. They can even do a blood test on the day you visit to determine which vaccines to give you (i didn't have that though). What i did have however was old cards from when i was a child that showed my vaccinations, which they made copies of. At no point did i need any kind of signed document or doctors signature. I've read from others on this forum that if you have an ongoing condition its best to get a doctors cover note/letter to give more details, outline treatment, and support you are not a danger to yourself or others etc.
  4. Thanks @appleblossom, this is really good to know as i have just switched from Santander to Starling in advance of leaving the UK next month, so my research seems on track! I also have a Wise account which is what we've been using to transfer any monies across the pond. The Wise and the Starling were both really easy to set up, really clear and both have great apps. I transferred my wages to starling as it had a Switch Guarantee service but Wise isn't using that yet. They are similar and i like them both but my favourite aspects are that Wise has really clear split outs between as many currencies as you want (I keep sterling, euro, and dollar accounts in small amounts for travelling or just in case), and that Starling has 'spaces' that you can personalise for saving and does the switch guarantee. Both have a pleasingly clear, fast and modern format in their apps. Santander was okay before but they have just updated their app and i am not keen on their larger format look. Thanks OP for starting this thread!
  5. By sea. It’s a mix of boxes, flat pack items, a guitar in flight case, rugs, dining table - basically a varied selection of things. That’s really the reason I went with them because of the variation. Also they will store for a short time on this side to time the goods arriving after I do and not having to wait in port which I would be charged for.
  6. I got there just under an hour early and they were strict on not letting me through until half an hour before. ☺️
  7. I am in the process of using 1st Move International UK-USA and so far they seem very good. My boxes were collected Monday so still in transit atm. They seem to be caring, patient, and a friendly but professional approach. They also wrap everything carefully. Might be worth looking into. Check out their Facebook page for examples of how they wrap and ship stuff https://www.shipit.co.uk/
  8. Yes i've just done this! I went for my medical May 16th and as my covid immunisations were over two years ago they said I'd have to get aa booster done and email them back the results asap, and the medical wasn't approved until I'd done that. So I left Visa Medicals and walked straight round to Boots on Oxford St and without an appointment got in! Within the hour I was able to email across the slip that Boots give you with all the details and confirmation of booster taken. Very easy to do as long has Boots has the stock in store. Although if I'd realised I would have gone to Boots beforehand but it really didn't make much difference. I'd also note that I had looked up appointments online for that store and they had disappeared in the time it took to do my medical so I figured I'd chance it as they must have the person in that does them, and it paid off! The nurse at Boots said that they've had many people coming over from Visa Medicals without appointments, in fact the person in front of me had done the same. Oh and its about £99 for the booster.

  13. Hi March 23 filers, just a quick update - we got our NOA2 by email to the petitioner today! It was approved 13th Feb so 3 days ago. We originally filed 8th March 23. As beneficiary I haven’t had an email just yet but just SO happy that the long wait is over. I hope you all are having/have had your NOA2’s as well. 🫶🏼❤️🙌
  14. Joining this thread 🥰🥰 Hi everyone. This process certainly teaches you patience! I’m British living in UK and my husband is a USC living in US. We sent in the I-130 8th March, got the NOA1 the same day with Nebraska SC. We sent in the I-129F in July. We have watched the I-130 countdown come and go but are still optimistic we’ll get the NOA2 soon! 🙌🏼 Best wishes to everyone that's waiting 🙏🏼❤️
