  1. Another issue we are running into is that the embassy didn't give any information on who to give consent to. Anyone know if we can give consent to "US Embassy London" under "Name of Representative/Contact on the SAR Application? Or do they need the name of the Immigration Officer specifically? We're going to try to reach out to the embassy tomorrow, but, again, not sure who to even reach out to. Thanks!
  2. Omg thank you! How frustrating because we wouldn’t have had the information to fill it out at the time we first submitted the SAR paperwork. Nothing is ever easy! I hope that we can just amend it rather than submit a whole new SAR because that took ages! Thank you!!
  3. They put “rejected” but assured him that he’s not rejected and they just need consent to double check everything with ACRO. Said he needed to email them a “sworn statement” once he had given consent to ACRO. Not even sure what exactly they mean by “sworn statement.” No response from ACRO yet. Sighhhh
  4. My fiancé just had his interview this week on the 19th. He never did received any packet or information on scheduling. Once he submitted the forms and paid the fee, he just went ahead and started scheduling the medical and interviews. I say go for it!
  5. When my fiancé had his medical early this month on October 5, he had his interview scheduled for October 16, which was 7 business out. We had seen conflicting information of 5 days and 10 day and met in the middle. At his medical exam, they told him to change the date to the 19th (ten days). He just had his interview and there was no issue with the medical side of things. So I can’t say it’s not possible, but I can say that they didn’t tell him to change it at his medical. Good luck!
  6. Feeling frustrated and disappointed today. My fiancé has his K1 visa interview at the embassy in London today. He had “no live trace” on his police report, so he was proactive and got Subject Access Requests as well to take to the interview. Everything went fine except that they requested that he give ACRO consent so they can confirm the information. Just when we thought we were finally crossing the finish line, it got moved further away. Does anyone have experience with this? How exactly does he go about giving consent? There was no helpful information in the letter from the embassy, and we can’t find anything on the ACRO site either about giving consent. One email to ACRO has already bounced back with an automated message that they’ll respond in 14 days. Does anyone have any estimate how long it will take to get the consent taken care of? Or how long it will take the embassy once we notify them that consent has been given? We’re hoping that our plan to celebrate his first Thanksgiving is not off the table now. Sighhhhhh
