  1. The letter is uploaded but it’s not submitted. I had the same issue when I did mine. The reason the red submit button doesn’t work is because you still have missing documents. Even if you are requesting a change in sponsor you will have to upload documents on those fields to be able to hit the red submit button. What I did was I uploaded the request to remove the sponsor in those other missing fields and once it said uploaded in all missing fields then I submitted by hitting the red button. Don’t worry about submitting the letter in multiple fields, once they remove the sponsor and they add the other one they will ask for documents for the other sponsor. So to recap, upload the letter to the fields saying missing beside them and once they say uploaded you should be able to hit the submit button. If you don’t do this they will never look at the letter. Make sure you upload the documents under the joint sponsor you want to remove. I spent 3 months trying to figure this out since I needed to remove a sponsor and what I am telling you is exactly what I did. If you have any other questions let me know as I am done with my nvc process I am just waiting for the appointment date at the embassy for my wife.
  2. You are welcome. Yes just upload it under additional supporting documents. You don’t need to submit the whole thing if you are removing the sponsor. If the system requires you to upload documents on the required documents section just upload the same document on all of them. I had to remove two sponsors. One didn’t require me to upload any documents on the top section and the other one did required me to upload documents where it says required. Make sure after you upload the document on the additional supporting documents you hit the red submit documents button on the right side. If you are not able to press it then that means that you must upload documents for each one in the required section to be able to continue. If that is the case just upload the same statement you are making asking for the sponsor to be removed in all of them that is what I did for my second sponsor I had to remove. Remember once you upload the documents and they say uploaded you must press that red button on the right side that says submit documents. If you don’t do that your files will just sit there uploaded but the NVC won’t be able to see them. If you need any more help let me know as I know it is a confusing process and I had a lot of trouble at the beginning myself.
  3. You have to type a short paragraph explaining why you need the sponsor removed. Upload it under the sponsor you want to remove where it says “Additional AOS Supporting Documentation” it will probably take a couple of weeks. You have to upload the document like you where uploading evidence or a required document so they can see it.
  4. Yes we were able to move forward. The case is documentarily qualified now we are just waiting for an interview date.
  5. You have to submit the document under the wrong sponsor you want to remove. Just type a short paragraph explaining why you need the sponsor removed. Upload it under the sponsor you want to remove where it says “Additional AOS Supporting Documentation” it will probably take a couple of weeks. My case has since become documentarily qualified.
  6. Anybody has any info? I have not been able to remove the joint sponsor please help me.
  7. I added a joint sponsor when it should have been a household member. I sent an inquiry to NVC to remove the joint sponsor and I was replied with the following email. If I press the Add Joint Sponsor there is nowhere for me to upload the letter or statement to remove the current joint sponsor. Should I go to the documents page for the sponsor that I want to remove and upload it and submit it trough there? Instead of pressing the add joint sponsor button? I am confused. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
