I think I need to rephrase my question. In December 2020 my F1 visa was about to expire and I filled the forms, and scheduled an appointment in the US embassy in my home country to renew my F1 visa (I am a graduate student). Unfortunately, I could not make it to my scheduled appointment because I got covid and with all the quarantine requirements in my home country, I just could not afford to skip school for so long. So, I did not attend that interview. Does it count as visa denial for the purposes of Q 15 in part 8 of form i-485? Thank you.

Hi Jeanne! I meant missing the visa interview in the US embassy abroad. Does it count as a denial? I do not plan to miss my GC interview ofc.

Hello VisaJourney! I was selected in the past DV lottery process and filling i-485 right now. I wonder if not showing up for the interview in the embassy counts as visa denial. I was in US, and my F1 visa was about to expire, I filled the forms, and scheduled an appointment in the US embassy in my home country, but I could not make it. It was December 2020, I got covid, and with the restrictions of the time, I would have spent more than a month out of school, so I did not go. Does it count as visa denial? Thank you!
