  1. Bin ich am Samstag vorbeigefahren auf dem Rueckweg von den Outer Banks
  2. Ich ware ja fuer Stammtisch aber nicht alle sind Ostkueste 😋
  3. What a bummer! Sorry to hear that after all the wait the card didn't reach it's rightful owner. I dont think there's much you can do... It's probably some USCIS internal guidline that a returned card cant be re-sent so they most likely will get you a new one... usually takes two weeks. Their website says 2-4 weeks after approval
  4. Thats just horrible! If there hasnt been any 'RedFlags' why would they make it such a hassle...
  7. The first thought I have seeing 854 (now 855 days) will USCIS treat that information as still 'up to date' ? In 800+ Days so much can happen... It's sad to see how they let people hang just extending a legal document. Should be a > 6 month process 😕 I hope the best for you!
  8. That's exactly what I would worry about - as your 751 is meant to proof that you are in a legit marriage after 2 years - If the person seeking immigration is out of the country for so long it sure raises eyebrows. I rather invest in some professional advise before going into a year long battle with USCIS. But thats just me and I'm not a legal expert either.
  9. I might even seek legal advise before filing. They can be quite strict about the time spent abroad in some cases... but yes clearly mention it in your filing documents for the I-751
  10. Northing. I keep monitoring the progress for other cases online... as my case # started with IOE but is processed at YSC I still have the hope that they will processes mine faster (I mean hope is the last thing to die, right? 😆)
  11. I did the same thing couple weeks ago - Germany and Back - no issues - nationwide no issues at all (updated my PA driver license to the REAL ID one) just not to risk any trouble I made myself a folder in which I keep the (now expired) Greencard plus the 48 month Extension Letter. And take it with me on all flights and trips.
  12. When you think about it it's actually kinda crazy that besides a Mortgage in both names and Taxes filed jointly in both names they could even ask for more... I can understand a request for evidence if it takes them YEARS to get to one of our files and they want to check if things changed / updated information.
  13. No worries! No we are on the same page I should have just explained it better. Let's hope for some miracle at Potomac Processing Center ...
  14. Right, If I would have income in Europe (I think it's over 10k / year) I would need to mention that in my annual income tax. As I do not have 'income' from the properties I dont have to worry about it. Supposedly the inherent 'tax' is massive once all of these go over to my *and my brothers - name.
  15. Due to Tax reasons I might not apply for the N400 (Properties in Europe). I still have to wait and see how the exact tax code is for property outside the US
  16. Fellow April filers 😎 I found the following website - if it's accurate or not Is probably debatable 😋 The Cake Diagram gives a nice overview where similar cases with the same Service Center and first 5 digits stand. https://www.casestatusext.com/
  17. Hi there! I would use their online chat function and ask for a representative. They need to check their system to see what actually happened. I assume you have a tracking Nr. and evidence of your RFE being sent out, correct?
  18. I did just include a copy of the biometrics page of my own and my wifes (US) passport as her's got updated to my last name since the Greencard got approved. I'm quite sure I'm in their system anyways now with the new Passport and # as I used it on Sunday night when I entered the US in Dulles. The Immigration Officer asked if I'm still with the company of my old L1A Visa which I denied as I changed my Job over a year ago. (the L1A just expired in my old Passport - the new one doesn't have any stamps or Visa in it) It's just me overthinking... I'm quite sure it doesn't matter - all Passports expire sooner or later for all kinds of nationalities.
  19. My old (German) Passport was about to fall apart to an extend that some immigration officers in the past took a doubtful / second look at is as it's in pretty bad condition Long story short - I spent the past 3 weeks in Europe and applied for an new Passport that was approved, printed and handed over in less then a week. Now here's my question! Do I need to let USCIS know about my new Passport? The only reason I'm asking is that I noticed that the Passport Number# does not stay the same over the years. Thanks!
  20. clear NO. Officers (who have the authority to detain you) have to actually inform you that you are currently detained (or worst case - arrested). I was overthinking as well about a simple speeding ticket without any points on my license 😎
  21. Congratulations! If they keep the pace they currently have I wont get my 10 year GC until 2026! It's frustrating how slow the process is for the ones who go the legal, legitimate way...
  22. Caligirl - will you go dual ? if so - how hard / complicated was the 'Beibehaltungsurkunde' Process with the German Government? Thats the one thing that makes me just keep living on Greencard status with Government Security Clearance for work.
  23. I dont think there's any logic behind what and how they assign it. But if a service center like Potomac is so far behind everything I doesn't make sense to put more workload on them until they catch up. I somewhere read that they will process current filings prior before working on the backload from 2020-21. If that's true or not - we will see
  24. I absolutely wouldn't mind to see my case being moved from Potomac to any other site. I wonder if they filed mine with Potomac as its the closest to my residence? Still keeping my fingers crossed for a rather fast processing time
