  1. If they make the argument that it's just immunization records that aren't accepted and that they do indeed accept doctor's records, all I can see is bureaucratic semantics involved here.
  2. " Items To Bring To Your Medical Examination: The doctor will need the following items to complete the medical exam forms: Your visa interview appointment letter, Your passport, Your DS-260 confirmation page, If any, a copy of your immunization records (medical records from Iran will not be accepted, documents prepared in the last 30 days, or unreliable records will not be accepted), If you suffer from a chronic illness, have been treated for any disease, ever had any important operation, or are under psychiatric care, doctors recommend you to present your medical file during examination, If you are using medicine, bring their names or the boxes of your medicine, If you are using glasses, bring your glasses with you, Women who are pregnant (or planning to become pregnant) are required to have a Chest X-Ray to immigrate. Please be aware that if you do not prefer to have a Chest X-Ray your medical report will not be completed until the end of your pregnancy. Please consult your obstetrician, own physicians regarding your health concerns on this subject and go to the panel physician’s office with your final decision with a written document by your doctor." It says on part 4, that they aren't accepted.
  3. Was completely surprised by this requirement. Her interview is on Friday so I emailed the embassy about it. Unsure of what to do next, besides rescheduling the interview.
  4. They asked her if she took medication (she does) and then they asked for her medical history. I believe her answer triggered them asking and requiring the medical records from Iran. It's so confusing, I thought in Ankara they don't accept any type of record, immunization or otherwise, from Iran. Am I getting that right?
  5. So my fiancee went to do her medical exam in Ankara for the K1 and everything was ok until they asked for her medical records. She didn't bring her medical records as she is Iranian and thought that they wouldn't accept them. She contacted her doctor but since he is on vacation he won't be available to write up something for her. The nurse who administered the test said she could bring it by this evening or next morning but it won't be on time. What can we do? Thanks, Michael P.
  6. I noticed in the Immigration Timeline records the last two users on here that were Iranian actually had their Visas approved within a week after the interview. This was around December '23.
  7. Hey guys! My fiance and I will be filling out the DS-160 soon and had a few questions. A gentleman i spoke to on VJ (who also has a Persian fiance) said that he got AP while filling out his form "wrong". When I asked him what it was, he said that "If she has a job MAKE SURE you list it on the DS-160. Otherwise you will get the BLACK HOLE of AP" I was a bit confused and asked him more about it, and stated that my fiance doesn't have a job at the moment to which he then commented "its good that she doesnt have a job. stick with that otherwise if she does have one they will throw you with administrative processing". I'm still new to all this and these reasons seem absolutely arbitrary but I was definitely a bit spooked by it all. Are these specific situations that can affect a Visa being given to someone from a country that is sanctioned/in conflict with US? Are there any of you that have dealt with this type of situation that have a fiance from Iran? Thanks so much! -Michael P.
  8. @Boiler I appreciate it man. I know I could have looked this up online probably but I do appreciate your time. Thanks everyone else as well. Y'all have helped me see what possible options I have. Cheers!
  9. I understand. I can't imagine how hard it was for you. Still new in the journey so i keep learning about additional roadblocks and what to expect ahead, and it doesn't look good *sigh* Kind of a dumb question, but could I start a CR-1 now? With an AP from the K1 being most likely, is there any benefit to doing a new application, or do you think that would further complicate things?
  10. Thank you Ontarkie! I knew it was probably a long shot but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. I appreciate it!
  11. @Timona No need for aggression. Post it somewhere else, ok bub?
  12. @SalishSea Understood. I appreciate your info. would i ask for an expedite just by contacting my congressman?
  13. I'm American and worried about my fiancee who lives in Iran because of the political situation going on over there, and of course Iran being implicated in the planning of the HAMAS thing not making it any easier. So I talked with a user on here about him getting a successful expedite request for his Iranian fiancee based on certain personal reasons. He said "my fiancé is an Iranian and I’m a soldier in the army and she is an atheist so it really wasn’t that hard to explain on my request. Also if you want to expedite, USE the White House website first, then use your senators website." All in all, it worked, and she got her interview around 1 year after the NOA1. From what I understand it doesn't really make a difference messaging the White House as it said with the official expedite information on VJ to call or mail the CSC, right? Secondly, I'm not sure being an atheist would be a valid reason, to me it seems a bit irrelevant. Is that a thing? The fact that he was able to get the request approved gives me some hope, but am just unsure about how to go about it. Does anyway have any experience with this? If so is there a walkthrough anyone could provide for this? Thank you all for your time! P.S. For reference, I sent off the I-129F in July of this year.
  14. Hey guys, was just wondering how you attached your passport photos on your I-129F? I'm trying to not have to use any clip to attach them because of the potential issues with scanning. I have them in an envelope but just unsure of any alternative methods you guys have used?
  15. Understood! Thank you both for your input!
  16. Is it ok to write on the evidence? For example I have a scan of some airbnb print outs and want to add some written notes below. Thanks!
  17. I have a passport style photo from my girlfriend that she took on her own. She was able to digitally remove the background to make it white. It looks ok but maybe a little over exposed. Does she need to go have a passport photo done professionally or do you think her photo will be fine? I can send a picture as example. Thanks- MP
  18. Ok that's great! I didn't think of the youtube thing! Thanks so much for your helpful information!
  19. But i guess those would need labels on the back for each one right?
  20. I understand the idea of placing the photo paper copies of photos in the bag but what would i would I do with copies of airplane tickets, chats, etc.? Would it just be copy and pasting the "snapshots" of those onto paper and organizing them that way?
  21. Hey guys! I am sending off my I-129 this week and was wondering if some of you might be able to DM me some examples of exactly how you did your in-person evidence? Specifically need help with the bold part below: Proof of having met in past two years. To organize this information you can create a single typed page with the following elements: (1) Title the page 'Evidence of In-Person Meeting in the last 2 years'; (2) A description of how you met (same as you stated in Part 2 Question 53-54 of your I-129F); (3) A list of the evidence you are providing; (4) Your printed name, signature and date. Following this declaration page, provide the evidence you listed (click here for examples)." I tried to click the example but it just kind of redirects. Thanks so much! -MP
