Hi everyone, I have a bit of a complicated situation and would love any guidance or insights on similar experiences.
Back in Feb 2022, I filed for an I-130 for Consular Processing for my wife when she was in Japan, but when she visited me on an ESTA back in September, we found she was pregnant. I didn't want to us to be apart, so I filed for an I-485, I-131, and I-765 after learning that as a US Citizen, this was an option I had.
Some extra context: since then we've done biometrics and I filed an expedite request a couple weeks ago, still haven't even heard back if they received my fax or anything yet though.
I just woke up to an email stating that the I-130 I filed for Consular Processing was approved (finally!) and this is what the notice said:
"As the petitioner requests, we have sent the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801-2909. The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action, including the collection of necessary forms and documents. It also determines which consular post is appropriate to complete visa processing. The NVC will then transfer the approved petition to the consular post once processing has been completed and an interview has been scheduled at the Embassy or Consulate."
My question is will this cause any issues with the I-485 and other applications? Does this mean that action on those other applications is also imminent? Any guidance or info from others that have had similar experiences would be great.
Thanks!
