  1. I'm filing for adjustment of status after being on k1 visa the official uscis website is requiring a birth certificate with the form i485 I already submitted a birth certificate and a translation for the k1 visa a few months ago Do I need to submit again with this package or not because I read in some places that they would still have it on record but I'm not sure ? Did anyone face a problem when they didn't re submit it ? and if I do, do I need a translation, and does the translator needs to be in the USA or I can submit the same translation from my country ? and what about the police record if I have no previous record? Also do I need all the tax returns for the past 3 years or just the one tax return for the last year for the affidavit of support? Also if I file within the last week of my 90 days k1 status would there be a risk of me being in no status for a while, like how quick do they process the status thing? I know it's a lot of questions and this process is many layers and many elements in one thing and I'm trying to do my best that's all I find a lot of help and support in this forum Thank you
  2. Thank you for your help , what immigration status should I put in the form ? should I put "pending adjustment of status" even though I'm still in "k1" status because c9 section is only for "pending adjustment" from what I understand and filing under k1 is a different section for before getting married ? Yes I will, I tried before and I had some difficulties doing it but I'll figure it out
  3. I'm in the process of filing for adjustment of status after getting married and being on k1 visa I'm trying to file for the EAD concurrently to pay less fee I'm a little confused on how and when to do that Do I file i-485 via mail first and wait then file i-765 after I get the notice and my status changes to pending adjustment of status or should I file with it in the same mail package while my status is still k1 ? and is that what's called section c9 or something else ? and can I just file it and pay online or not ? what would be the best way to do this for least fee payment and quickest approval ? Thank you
  4. Thank you very much for answering , that makes me feel better about this whole process it was already too many things to do now this is one less thing to worry about I have one more question if I had the original DS-3025 from my visa medical exam should I assume they already sent a copy of it to the embassy for the visa and it was included in that package you give to the officer at the airport and then sent to USCIS? So do they already have a copy? and I will attach a copy anyway but I'm just trying to understand more. Thank you.
  5. Yes I do have that but it only has Td MMR Hep b and Covid, the rest for the most part it says not age appropriate except for varicella which was not available in country and flu which was out of season, can i just submit that or add the missing ones , I'm really confused would it be considered incomplete if it was that way, only Td MMR Hep B and covid are taken, the rest are not age appropriate except for varicella(not available in country) and flu(out of season) what would be the most appropriate way to submit this one thank you
  6. Thank you for answering , I find that weird because I just can't see how are they signing off another doctor's paperwork, they're only signing off the form which only contains the vaccine record after showing them proof of taking it or getting directly from them and they're not signing off anything else, the physical exam is already signed off and sent to uscis by the first doctor
  7. I entered the US on k1 visa and already took a physical medical exam with bloodwork for my visa abroad and I read on the instructions for the medical form that K1 visa holders only need to fill the part of vaccine record if they already submitted an exam in the past year I already told that to my doctor and he's not believing me and keeps asking me who told you that so I'm I correct , I mean the instructions seem clear enough or am I missing something Just wanted to make sure thank you
  8. Thank you for your input, much appreciated
  9. No we're not allowed to live together, it goes against our mutual belief and family system, we do not want to live together before marriage
  10. you're all misunderstanding, we don't wanna waste more time before getting together , we just wanna live together, if possible through k1 visa why waste time planning temporary trips before filing the k1
  11. that link doesn't work and we've been together for 4 years continuously there's no spur of the moment or mail ordered stuff
  12. well you get used to the distance and 18 to 24 months won't mean much when you have spent 4 years waiting since 2019, and all you care about at that point is just to start your life together instead of short temporary meetings that ends with another painful goodbye to who knows when again
  13. there's no such difference, not even religious, not even a language barrier, age gap is only 3 years and the male in the relationship is older
  14. We want to continue to meet, but why not just move together already if possible through the k1 visa, that's why I'm asking this, and what if we meet again for few days and it's still not enough, is it even worth it in terms of visa approval
