My fiance and I have gone through a lot of hardship, as we became engaged in August of 2021. Covid, and the then the war, made life very difficult. We got approved by the UCIS in December, and just now have had our case taken by Jerusalem thanks to our lawyers and help from people on this board. Recently, my fiancé has been troubled, and revealed to me that she does not believe she can return to visit her family if she marries me. I found this law lurking on the Russian internet. And I want to know if other Americans marrying Russians have encountered this, or know more. If anyone can help me and give me more information, I would really appreciate it. I have found nothing about this on the english speaking side of the internet.
