  1. Thank you, BenNomad do you remeber if “4” days were from after you submitted docs or some other event? Thank you again!
  2. Thank you! I am tracking this as well, but thought there is some formal notification. Thank you again and good luck
  3. Hey guys, sorry for a silly question, how do you know when DQ estimated date is? Does it get posted somewhere on the CAEC? Or have you gathered enough data through other people’s posts? I am a late a June AOS filer (6/28/23) and was curious if I missed something.
  4. Hey All, I wanted to share our timeline hoping to hear more from everyone as we move thru NVC. 7/1/22 Filed I-130 for IR-5 6/13/23 I-130 approved 6/21/23 NVC Welcome Letter email 6/21/23 Paid all fees, they cleared on 6/23 6/28/23 Submitted AOS/SS-260/Civil Docs Everything says paid/complete/submitted. Does anyone know how others see their estimated time to DQ or if it’s the data that everyone gathers from other posts? Good luck everyone and hoping for a speedy proceessing.
  5. Hey does anyone have experience with Case prefix “MOS”? Wondering where the interview will be scheduled out of? I sent a note to usakz email address asking to move it to KZ. I didnt think MOS was an option any more… Filed I-130 for IR5 on 7/1/22 I-130 approved on 6/13/23 NVC welcome letter on 6/21/23, paid fees same day and they cleared on 6/23. Submitted AOS/DS260/Civil docs on 6/28/23. Hoping to get DQ’d and IL very soon.
  6. Hey ML12- we also talked to the KZ Embassy in Moscow back in Feb and requested it. Their official quoted time was 3-6 months and we got it in late May with a date stamped of March. It is in Russian/KZ and we got one with appostile which is in KZ (not sure if apostile is required). Heads up since you’ll need to have it translated. I am still working on finding a translator as I type. One side note if your parents are planning on going to KZ for the visa apt- they need to be sure they dont have KZ citizenship. If they still do once they land in KZ they’ll have to pay a fine of 1/2 million tenge (~$1K)- new rule as of a year ago- we were told by a KZ lawyer. My mom thought she gave up her KZ citizenship ~25 years ago but it wasnt officially showing up in the system so we had to do an extra step but it didnt interfere with the KZ embassy getting her the paper in 3 months. But I think there is a simplier way to do it with the Kz Embassy we weren’t aware of it at the time. Just something to be aware of. I am hoping to submit all docs by no later than 6/28 and to get an IL fairly quick 🤞🏻. I know someone who is from Russia got DQ’d in Feb but got IL in May for Almaty transfer for late June. Please share your timeline if you dont mind.
  7. Hey All- we got approval today (checked under documents- there is a NOA as of today!) It took 11.5 months- filed in Nebraska, transfered to Vermont. Approval had Potomac address. Hope you all get your cases approved very soon! 🤞🏻
  8. My case was showing to be approved in March, then changed to “your case is taking longer than expected.” Then a week later changed to 4 months, we were hoping this time it was real and it was on track to be approved exactly 12 months from filing. A week ago it changed from 2 months to again “your case is taking longer….” Gosh, I really hope this time it’s going to be any time…. I filed for IR 5 on July 1,2022- Vermont. Anyone has had any luck with Vermont or second time “it’s taking longer than expected?”
  9. I haven’t yet, but I thought they were needed for NVC or at least the interview. In the above link I provided, there are steps with requirements for each step and list of documents. I would recommend reviewing those to be sure.
  10. Hey @AnaBanana12345 - are you talking about the actual document or a translated copy? I was told by my immigration attorney that a translated copy will not work. It will need to be either an original document or another copy issued by the place who issued the original. It also aligns with what’s on the gov’t site “You and each family member immigrating with you must obtain an original birth certificate or certified copy.” https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html As for translation my attorney told me to look up each embassy specifically online for what they require and they’ll specify if it’s a certified or just a reg translation they require. Hope this helps and good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes.
  11. Thank you, Symplytex. We don’t have that old booklet any more and were wondering if she’d have to get all the shots again. They now have electronic cards, but they are not printable and it doesnt have anything other than covid vccinations. Appreciate the antibody test tip. Thank you again!
  12. Thank you so much for sharing all the info. It is very helpful. If you don’t mind, could you please share what kind of medical records did your wife have to bring from Russia to Almaty for the med apt? My mother will have an apt hopefully in the summer there as well but she has no record of her vaccinations. We are trying to figure out how that will all work. Thank you again for your help in advance.
  13. Wanted to share, we saw the same thing. Filed in June 2022/accepted on July 1 2022. On day “0” it changed to “your case is taking longer than expected.” Three days later the clock reset to 4 months, but a week later it said 3 months, which would be exactly a year if it were true… who knows if it sticks. (We filed at Nebraska but it was transferred to Vermont) Our attorney did say a May submission just got approved on March 8. Fingers crossed it’ll be sooner than later for all of us 😊
  14. Yay!! So happy for you guys! Congrats! We are hoping to be right behind you! :) Do you know what kind of med records / vaccination records your parents had to bring/show from Russia to the med exam in KZ? Safe travels to your parents and hope they’ll be in the US soon!
  15. @Runner19 - congrats on your parents apt and good luck! Hope they’ll join you soon 🙏🏻 Would you mind sharing your timeline for how long everything took/processing center? I filed i130 for my mom in Russia in July 2022, it got moved to Vermont Center right away. The case status went to “it’s taking longer than usual..” about a week ago. I am trying to get a better timeline and not sure where else to turn. Thank you for your time in advance.
  16. Does anyone have a recent experience with I 130 for IR5 (parents from Russia)? I filed it in July 2022, and also got the same message wait time 4 weeks -> 3->2->1-> Case is taking longer than expected. Tried expediting twice and got denied both times. Hoping to find out more about realistic timeline expectations. Thank you for sharing in advance.
