  1. I and my wife have been nervous regarding this process as we had been asked for an RFIE for her birth certificate (the same one we used to get her in the country was not enough information for the 485) and were concerned this would lead to a rejection. Got word on Monday night her card was printed and yesterday official confirmation her case was approved. Here's the timeline from USCIS: February 27, 2024 Case Was Approved February 26, 2024 We ordered your new card. January 31, 2024 We received your response for Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. December 27, 2023 We sent a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. December 21, 2023 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, were taken. November 29, 2023 We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. (Mailed on the 15th of November) Hope this puts others' minds at ease.
  2. Just got the news that our case has been forwarded to the embassy in Naples. Its going to be a few days/weeks before they receive it but we are on the way!
  3. April 27th 2023. Just waiting on ready status or a follow up email from NVC now. We still need our case number...
  4. Hey all, just got an update from the NVC that they have received our application from the USCIS. No case number yet as they are still processing but hoping this means we are at the end here. GL all!
  5. This is wonderful! What was the email address you sent your inquiry to? I want to establish a paper trail for our application as well. Best of luck!
  6. Hey Sarah, I'm so sorry you are going through this. Being right at the end and then encountering this ####### feels like the universe is personally slighting you. Do you have any idea what is going on that is resulting in the lack of updates? I was doing some googling but couldn't find anything, just curious if you did. Best of luck and here's hoping things improve soon.
  7. Awesome, thank you for keeping up on this and running the script! Good to see they are moving further, fingers crossed for you and yours.
  8. I mean sure, I will keep my expectations to May but like I said before, I hope for April. Of course I am going to hope for an earlier approval, why on Earth would I hope for a later one? I don't really see how group number, which is determined by chronological order of submission, wouldn't be based on chronology aka time submitted. the 58500 group is mostly March so if they are moving to March submissions, would it not make sense to hope that mostly March groups are handled at the time they are processing mostly March cases? Yes there are times when cases get lost and/or delayed and to be fair, the process USCIS goes through to approve or deny cases does appear to be a mystery, but the script that has been floating around several different forums on VisaJourney has routinely shown that if your case is within a certain group that is currently being processed or will soon be processed, your application is likely to be processed soon as well. Instead of running that script, I asked someone what group they were a part of. Is it a dead giveaway of if USCIS will be processing the group my application is a part of? Absolutely not. But it shows they are very close and that was what I was looking for., the potential to begin on the group I am a part of soon. Most people here have reasonable understandings of USCIS processes and what they should expect as far as timelines go, especially because if you generate your timeline, it tells you your anticipated approval timeframe on your own profile. I can read, I don't need someone to tell me the statistics or remind me I have to waste more months waiting on top of the dozen I already have. I am not sure what prompted you to reply to my message about being excited to have my fiancée home earlier than expected without even a reason about why that hope is unjustified, but instead to just temper my expectations. My expectations were tempered when I signed up for over a year of waiting to marry my fiancée, consider them sufficiently damped. With the number of people who usually come to me, and I'm sure many other people in this forum, trying to ask why we decided on one type of visa application vs another or asking why the process is taking so long or in general just cajoling the nitpicky knowledge associated with this long, dehumanizing process of immigration in this country, I would hope members of the community would have the decency to let others feel excited about the possibility of being reunited again without trying to find a way to minimize that reaction and make them feel less than. I am expecting May, yes, thanks for the reminder it could be 57 more days. But I am hoping for April. Hopefully that doesn't require a reminder of further frustration this time.
  9. Thank you! We are 58500 group so not too far off. Really hoping we receive something this month.
  10. @AsherMusic what group was your application number if you don't mind me asking? I don't want the full thing, just the 5X,000 number, looking to see how close it is for us.
