  1. Just got DQ and are waiting for an interview date now. We also got another message stating how my income was too low to sponsor an immigrant. I graduated last May with a Computer Science degree and started working in June making $65,000. My 2022 tax return only shows 19000 as income last year since I only worked the 2nd half of the year. The message stated I may add another joint sponsor, but that the consular officer will make the final decision on the income requirement. I saw somewhere on the NVC page, I believe, that stated the income amount can be overlooked for recent college graduates. So I'm curious if I should be worried, or if I will be fine? I could probably get my dad to joint sponsor if needed, but I don't want to if it's not necessary.
  2. Working on our NVC process and on the visa application it asks for any past US visas that the beneficiary had. My wife had an F1 student visa issued back in 2012. We found some of her documentation, so we have the issue date, but not the visa number. There are several numbers throughout the paperwork and all of them are longer than the 8 digit limit on the application. Not sure where else to find this number, or if it's even necessary to add her F1 visa to the application. Any suggestions?
  3. Wife and I are currently in the NVC process. Looking into it, Montreal is where they do the interviews for the visa? Is this really the only option? She lives in BC so it will be a bit of a pain to have to go to Montreal for the interview. On top of that, the nearest 'approved doctor's for the medical examination is over 10 hours away from her. Is this all accurate or am I misinterpreting what I read? Am I crazy to think this is unreasonable? I know they want to make it a tough process, but we already waited 14 months for the I130. Now we have to travel across a country for an interview and medical examination.
