  1. Right! Haha. I’ve found someone here in the past post that it’s generally a “parking spot” to come back to later… let’s hope that’s the case lol.
  2. Oh, okay I guess that makes sense as it wouldn't require anything further from me for them to action that. I'm guessing if its anything like police checks here in Australia they take upwards of 1-2 weeks to process...
  3. Yeah, the only other work visa I've had is a current US one (valid for 5 years) but only spent like 2 months in the US last year on it. No longer in that position, so no longer need/eligible that visa class, no overstays, i've been to the US a lot over the past 10 years for holidays but never more that 2-4 weeks at a time.

  5. Would that not have been looked at/questioned at interview? But yeah a little... I travelled around Europe (Croatia, Italy, France) whilst working in the UK and US (separate US work visa), and Christmas in Singapore in the last 12 months.
  6. Yeah, I hope so. For all the reading i've done (and i'm no expert by a long shot), they often give you the AP paperwork like the different color pieces of paper at the interview. I'm thinking seeing i didn't get anything, and he said approved it's just waiting... I've had a few friends go through the E-3 process though and they have gotten their passports back in like 2-4 days. That's why I'm thinking something they're looking into... not sure what it could be. I just wish if there was something, they'd have reached out already so I could tell that what they need and get it sorted (Interview was 13th March, so 2 weeks now)
  7. I guess not being issued with anything/being contacted as yet is a good thing and it could just be normal processing? Well, if it isn't... I'm hoping it doesn't take a long time haha. It's only a two year visa >.< I'm in Finance/Business Management (Degree + 8yrs experience)
  8. Well, consular officer said approved and didn't hand over any 221(g) papers or anything and kept my passport. He said it'd take a week for the passport to come back to me. The CEAC website hasn't moved since 2 days 'post' interview - "refused", which is AP, but i'm assuming thats general admin/processing...
  9. If visa was 'approved' at interview and i'm still waiting for it (+10 business days) is it possible it's under additional administrative processing without being told?
  10. Oh really? Fingers crossed. Yeah, I wasn't sure it only changed on that website today (friday afternoon) whilst the CEAC website hasn't had any updates for over a week. I'm assuming next week I should see some movement?...
  11. Did you get your visa not long after the status change?
  12. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has some insight on the below… My E-3 Visa was Approved at Appointment and no paperwork was given, so I’m assuming no 221(g). CEAC showed approved after interview 13th March, two days later changed to refused 15th March. And today the CGi site changed today from "passport still with the us embassy/consulate" to "document delivery information:" I’ve heard no updates. I was told 5 days printing by the CO?… —— Consulate - Sydney, AU —— E3 Visa - Timeline - Approved @ Interview and was told printing is taking a week and they kept. This reflected approved on CEAC on the same day... (Monday 13 March) - Refused on CEAC (Wednesday 15 March), with the long message: "A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information….” —— I've not received any contact, email or a phone call. —— The Sales force home page (where I made my booking) says Passport is still with Consulate. I sent an email to the consulate and the gave me a standard response “Thank you for your email. Your application is undergoing administrative processing in order to verify your qualifications for the visa. For further information and current processing wait times please refer to the Department of State’s website. We understand this delay may affect your ability to initiate travel plans to the United States. However, our procedures are based on regulatory requirements. Please be assured that we will promptly advise you when the required processing on your application is complete. Before making inquiries about status of administrative processing, applicants or their representatives will need to wait at least 180 days from the date of interview or submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later.” —— Today March, 24 - the sales force website status changed from "passport still with the us embassy/consulate" to "document delivery information: “ ——— Any thoughts? I’m now going into what is work day 10 from interview, without contact.
  13. I was approved and told a week, it's been 8 working days thus far and it's yet to be issued. I've seen lots of variability in receiving visas back... Hard to tell.
  14. Update - No Movement. Today was work day 8 (if I don't included the visa interview day), still no updates and showing refused. I did get confirmation that i'm in AP , though no mention of 221(g). - I sent the visa office a question regarding the change prior to getting your advice above and whether any documentation was required; this was the response I received: "Thank you for your email. Your application is undergoing administrative processing in order to verify your qualifications for the visa. For further information and current processing wait times please refer to the Department of State’s website." There was also this automatic response receive which I overlooked initially, it states "Standard Processing times – *Fifteen (15) Business Days If your inquiry is within this timeframe, you should not expect to receive a response. *This timeframe excludes the time taken for our office to receive the pending documents and the time taken to deliver the document from our office to the applicant. If your visa was approved on the day of your interview your passport and visa will be returned you within fifteen (15) business days. If you were required to provide additional documentation or information, once received, your case will be reviewed by the Consular officer. We will contact you via email if we require additional information or documentation or to advise you of the outcome of your application. Otherwise, your case will be finalized, and visa issued as per above guidance. Looks like i'm potentially 1/2 through waiting.... My friend got his E-3 Visa with-in 3 days of interview, leads me the wonder what's going on. I'll sit tight and give you all an update when I get/hear something.
  15. Any update on when you got your passports back (how many days) for you/your family?
  16. Ahh, Gotcha. Yeah, the interview itself lasted 1 minute, "how long have you worked in the field, who do you work for now", okay.. approved. It'll take a week to print. Have a nice day. So, in short... nothing asked for. I guess seeing Approved, then it shift to Refusal with no communication can be a bit worrisome. Thank you though
