Same for me. I was born in elsewhere and now working in UK. Since ur i140 has been approved, go ahead with consular processing. Send a public inquiry to NVC asking for a change to Embassy in UK. Attach proof of address and your BRP. They will change it within a week. Good luck. i did the same. You can do all consular processing by yourself. Go ahead -

Questions for me were: 1. Are you applying based on your degree? 2. Do you plan to stay in acedemia or industry? 3. How long were you married? Is she your first wife? Is she your first chid? 4. Where do you plan to go in the US? Actually it was more or less a friendly conversation. Nothing to worry about. -

It is usually mentioned in welcome letter. If upload option is avialble in CEAC, just upload it there. Else send them manually. For me, the option for upload was disabled and I had to do manually. -

I had to wait for my PD to be current. Otherwise, london is the fastest among all others -

I had also changed to London. Send a public inquiry to NVC and attach your BRP and proof of address (bank statement or bills or driving licence). They will change and give your new case number starting with LND. -

That was also my other question. SInce, i will be out of states for few months (7-8 months). I was exploring sim option. But most of them ask to get a plan for sim which is i suppose a waste of money if u arenot staying for several months. Is there any option for sim like pay as you go? sorry for being silly -

FOr those who are already in the US, how long did it take to receive green card? And also social security number. I plan to open bank account and also apply for credit card in the US . But I will be there oly for 4 days. Can I open account with stamp on passport and without SSN? Hoping for your suggestions -

Like DOlibash, I am also travelling to Boston in 2 weeks time and only for 4 days. Can I ask them to change the address for GC delivery to some address in Texas (different from port of entry). Currently I gave address of my friend in Boston, but he will be away for 2-3 wekks in May. I am not sure if it will clash the time for GC delivery. So, i want to change address to Texas. Will that be okay? -

Yes you are correct. Its still at NVC. Just have patience and wait for IL to be organised by NVC. May be try asking for an update with NVC using inquiry form. -

I also have transferred my case to LND at NVC stage. Once it’s transferred, your case number is LNDxxxxx. according to you, your case is still at NVC. Its worth asking NVC for updates and not the embassy -

So far what I have seen. If everything is fine, its usually 2-3 days. however, I have also seen some people undergo this process for long time. I am also in same process now. I am also hoping that it wont take long.
