Thanks everyone! Very sad to cancel my trip..I appreciate your help .

My I-551 was a paper stamp with my picture. It was not stamped on. I still have my passport. I am debating traveling without it and getting a Embassy foil at the international destination. My flight leaves DC via Miami and I am not sure if immigration will ask me for my green card while flying out.

Still in the US .Flight leaves in 12 hours.

Bad luck doesn't want to leave my side. I lost my green card in Dec and currently waiting pay ceremony (Filled N-400 in Jan). In the meantime I obtained a I-551 for my mother's day trip and can't find that now. Any chance I can travel? Feeling sad and lost beyond words. Thanks

Happy new year! This forum is so helpful. I am getting ready to submit my N400 online application. Here is my summary: Married for 10 years to a US citizen ( born here), have one baby, both work full time and I have a 10-year green card. Due to my spouse's job, we both were out of the US for 2 years for which I filed a reentry permission. we both have been back in the US now for over 4 years. I am applying based on 3 years of being married to a US citizen. Our rentals are shown in our tax returns is that enough or do I need to send them our 1099 for each property? We have owned our house for 10 years how do I show my mortgage history? For bank statements is there a way to get a compressed 3-year statement? I am nervous that with the large files, I might not be able to upload everything. Thanks so much for your help in advance.

I have been married to a US citizen since 2012 and have been living together, both working full-time, filing taxes together, and have a family, etc. We both do international work so often travel for work. I was out of the country between 2018 -2020 for my spouse's job and applied for 1-131 before I went abroad. I didn't know even with 1-131 my time out of the country would affect my citizenship ( so stupid of me!!). Now that I am back in the US for over 3 years I want to submit my naturalization application. When I take the online quiz it tells me I don't qualify for citizenship as I was out of the country however the entire 11 years I have filed my taxes (and been happily married). Someone suggested I write a cover letter explaining my situation and apply. Should I send all my 11-year tax returns? I would appreciate advice on how best to navigate this. Thanks much

OldUser- when I tried to apply online the system would not let me open the forum tried over 10 times. Kept on giving me an error. Yes, we filled joint taxes since I moved here and while away for his job I applied for a reentry permit. The reason I am finally applying for citizenship is we want to move abroad again and don't want to deal with GC hassle plus my 10-year card expires end of 2026.

@African Zealot- when I left for two years I got a reentry permit without which I wouldn't have been allowed back in. Thunderbolt- yes I paid taxes

Hi OldUser- Yes, my spouse is a US citizen we have been living together since I moved here, have a baby together, and were out of the country for his work. I returned in Aug 2020. We will be leaving the country soon and I want to apply for naturalization before we do.

Good day! I have been married to a US Citizen since 2011 and finally thinking about naturalization. Between 2018-2020 we were out of the country and I have been back in the US over 3 years now. My understanding is if one is married to a US citizen for 3 years they can apply. In my case, the clock restarted when I returned in 2020. Curious why the online quiz says I am not eligible. Thank you, no it was via the World Bank. Any idea how can I find out if it qualifies as diplomatic posting abroad? How do I check what my status while abrod was? The assignment was via the World Bank.

Thanks, i did break residence when I was abord for 2 years but for a re-entry permit (Form I-131) do you think this weill be a problem?
