  1. Wow, great find. I know some people were saying the new IOE cases from earlier this year were supposed to be processed quickly...lets hope that is what is happening!
  2. It’####### and miss. I have had the same, got some to my current address and others go to address from years ago. Just saying it’s not just us, it’s very common and nothing you can really do about it. I’ve updated AR11, spoken to the post office and forwarded mail.
  3. AR11 is notoriously unreliable and there is nothing you can do about it sadly. I moved 3 times, updated my address always, yet had USCIS send mail to an address I hadn’t lived at for 3 years… Seen many have the same issue. Just keep USPS mail forwarding going as long as you can to your current address and hope for the best.
  4. pretty sure anytime you are separated these days, and especially for an N400/751 interview it’s not a good thing at all and far from how they do things. Sounds like they satisfied the officer if the 751 was approved which is great but seems like there were things about the case they had concerns about.
  5. Read what they wrote “USCIS sent us a letter for RFE since it has been several years since we submitted the petition” I assume given this is posted on a 751 forum it would refer to them having but submitted the 751 7 years ago. But even if not what they meant, that’s over 4 years they have been waiting during the shorter processing times, which is also extremely bad. And far from normal.
  6. Also just to add to this, the officer looking at your case is usually the one who requests new biometrics so this is good news! Someone is actually looking at your file I would say.
  7. Yep this is literally what it comes down to more often than not, just explain if they have a question. They may want to see all kinds of things but so long as you can explain why you don't have whatever it may be, it should be fine. As a previous poster pointed out, 99% of cases are approved. They gave you a 2 year card because they think you are the real deal in the first place.
  8. You’re fine. If they even ask about it just tell them that exact thing. Of course it’s dependant on the officer, you hear of some people sending in tiny amount of evidence and being approved without question and others sending in hundreds of pages and getting an RFE. There’s no logic to what they will and won’t want to see, but so long as you can explain a reason for your situation - which you clearly can - I hardly imagine you’ll have any problem.
  9. This sounds like plenty. That’s some good evidence you have. Everyone has a different relationship and way of handling finances, I have read at worst they may ask you about how you handle your bank accounts and you can simply explain it to them…if they even bother to ask that is. Worst thing to do at this stage is to open a joint bank account purely to appease USCIS. Just keep doing what your doing would be my thought!
  10. Affidavits are on record as being the lowest forms of evidence you can provide given how easily they can be faked. A lot of attorneys don't even bother submitting affidavits even when you provide them. I think you have plenty of evidence. Good luck
  11. Watch this guy. Skip to the 40:40 mark of the video...he speaks to someone in a situation very close to yours. Certainly a different opinion than people on here were giving you. Not saying he is 100% correct, but a view point from a REAL attorney to consider.
  12. Yep best advice on here. You got an attorney, if they say you are good I would believe them. None of us as far as I’m aware are practicing attorneys so it’s just things we have heard. good luck, I’m sure it will work out. The process really isn’t as scary as some online YouTube lawyers etc… make it out to be.
  13. I agree with the first part but not the second. If you are approved while in divorce proceedings then go for your N400 you will be under deep suspicion of fraud and they could deny you citizenship is how I understand it I am no attorney but that sounds very very risky. Perhaps you could get a second option from another lawyer?
  14. Be careful. I think they can RFE you for the final decree after 90 days of notification, if you don’t have it then your case can be denied and put into removal. That said, they are so far behind that it may take them much longer to send you the RFE anyway. I would ask your lawyer on this one, from my understanding timing will be critical in these sort of cases. Maybe you will be better off withdrawing, refiling and then sending the final decree when it arrives in 6 months.
  15. Interviews are still being done, Just less than before. It looks like 2-3 years for most people right now
  16. IOE here and I can’t see any documents in my tab. It also won’t let me upload any either
  17. Yeah I agree. You don’t want them to approve the 751 before you notify them of the divorce, and it sounds like you are pretty close to a decision if you filed in 2021. Your evidence is solid though! I’m sorry you are going through this, but it sounds like you got it all worked out with your 751 plan.
  18. Well this is the problem Im getting at. There is no consistency. Some people get RFEs for lack of photos. I’ve even seen others who have had RFEs for no affidavits on their 751s. It’s ridiculous how messy this process is.
  19. Oh I am aware of this; I am just saying it’s a shame they are so hell bent on certain things like this. None of my married family or friends have a joint bank account yet seem to be getting by and are married happily. Anyways, plenty of folks get approved without joint accounts. It appears to come down to whoever the officer is on the day they look at your case I suspect.
  20. What sort of other evidence did you provide? Seems a bit of a stretch to RFE bank accounts these days given most people like to just have their own finances instead of joining them.
  21. I have heard if your name is close to or same as someone on any person of interest list, you have had any criminal involvement in the past or even if you have had police/military background at some stage with any form of firearms training it will trigger a new biometrics. There are probably a lot of other random reasons, I think I even heard an attorney online say some officers can just request it if they decide they want to. So who knows haha.
  22. I had the same thing, I updated my address online but since you never get an online confirmation you just have to assume it went through to the right department. They sent my reminder to an old address too. Like everything USCIS related, the system is deeply flawed.
  23. No idea of this is true, but I read somewhere that NBC often takes over in cases where N400 has been filed or the case possibly requires a deeper analysis by USCIS for some reason. Who knows, you may end up getting yours processed much faster than all of us stuck at service centres!
