  1. Hi, thank you for the timeline. It seems that the green card waiting period is around 90 days? Can I leave and enter US while waiting for the green card delivery? Not sure if I have any problem at the immigration when coming back in a few months.
  2. Thanks. Yes, my medical exam has been updated with passport B and passport A has been cancelled. But the US Embassy in Singapore has yet to know about that. Thanks for correcting me. I was referring to the 10 years GC which I understood it will be issued pretty soon when I enter US with the IR1 approval.
  3. Hi, As my passport (A) expires next year, and given the IR1 visa will be a 10 years period, I have applied for a new passport (B) to coincide with the 10 years duration. All forms submissions were based on Passport A. I am going for my interview with US Embassy in Singapore in July 2024. My questions: 1. Which passport details (A or B) should I enter into the ustraveldocs.com? 2. I thought the ustraveldocs.com is to indicate my choice of passport delivery. Somehow, I've seen appointment schedule tab, that shows nothing was scheduled. Can this be ignored? 3. Do I have to inform the US Embassy of my new passport details prior to my interview? Many thanks Hana
  4. You are correct. I am referring to the survivor benefits. Thank you for the response
  5. Thank you. This definitely will be helpful given medical insurance in USA is pretty expensive, I heard.
  6. Hi, I am a Singaporean married to a US citizen and have only visited US as a tourist. As per the social security website, some nationalities will be eligible for spouse's social security benefit as long as we fulfill the 5 years residency in US. Appreciate if anyone can help with my questions: 1. Do I have to go through the marriage green card route in order to prove the 5 years residency to Social Security? Would a K3 visa or CR1 visa validity suffice for 5 years of residency? 2. Do I have to live in USA for full 360/365 days per year to fullfill the 5 years residency? Our plan is to spend a couple of months between Singapore and US each year. 3. Which state/area would you recommend for retirement purpose? Lower cost of living with a great community and ease of travelling around and out of US. Many thanks for your time
