  1. Yes...it does vary widely. Got my card through NBC (well MSC now part of NBC)...approved within ~2.5 month on my end, with card in hand just shy of 3 months. It will happen, hopefully very soon for you!
  2. I received a new Social Security card. Same name, same number, same details on card as my old one. Just a new date. I did check off to send me a card just in case the info was different, but it's all the same info. Another document to check off my list
  3. I think padding the vaccine waiver on religious grounds with affidavit letters and a strong personal statement goes a long way. And as you said, a genuine belief is what they are after. The more supporting documentation, the better the conviction. The interviewer didn't press to hard on her waiver; it was a brief conversation. I'm not sure about timeline for others without waivers. I think COVID stalled a lot of people out with limited appointments.
  4. She filed I-601 for vaccine waiver, along with documents to support extreme hardship and a statement of discretion. Her green card application was during COVID so that may have impacted the timeline. She filed May 2020 and got her green card May 2021. Her I-601 was approved with her I-485/I-130 three days after her interview, and she received her green card one week after the interview. They asked her a few question about her beliefs and documents she submitted during the interview, but didn't focus too much time on that form. I think the key to her getting her I-601 approved was LOTS of documentation: years worth of vaccine waivers, affidavit letters from others, a strong personal statement, and medical records.
  5. Thanks! I imagine they will all be approved at the same time (though I have heard of others having I-485 and I-130 being approved at different times). My daughter's I-601/I-485/I-130 were approved together. Hoping mine will both be approved along with my I-130 quickly! Finally received my EAD yesterday! No mistakes on info which is great.
  6. My latest update: I-765 - Case approved (dated 9/30/24). No card yet in hand. No updates on the other forms.
  7. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard. My daughter got her first US passport....her last name has only 3 letters and they still spelled it wrong. Crazy!!!
  8. Just saw today that my USCIS account updated to show my EAD is being produced as of 9/27/24. Finally a baby step!
  9. Yes! That works great too...I have been able to see status there when my USCIS account is down.
  10. Nice to see I'm not the only one logging in daily to check
  11. Not much of an update. My USCIS online account updated yesterday to show fingerprints were taken (biometrics done 8/15/24). No update yet on EAD.
  12. They didn't give me an account # on my NOA (it was left blank) and no IOE#. Letter says "ASC appointment Notice" and it references my application # for my I-485 and I-765. Super weird. Perhaps my file hasn't been transferred from NBC to the Detroit FO since it's listed as an Application Support Center/ASC. Still no update on my USCIS account, even though I've uploaded the receipt numbers (just shows case was accepted and they are working on it). I do have a USICS A# now though!
  13. Just got my biometrics appointment scheduled for 8/15/24 in Detroit. NOA arrived today, but no update on my USCIS account. Glad I have Informed Delivery with USPS so I knew it was coming in the mail!
  14. Received NOAs via mail today, 7/22/24. What an unusually quiet feed! Where are the July filers?!
  15. Filed my AOS package via FedEx on 7/9/24. AOS package delivered 7/11/24. Text notification that forms accepted on 7/16/24, with checks cashed for all forms on 7/17/24. Waiting on NAO vial mail for all forms.
  16. Yes...it's crazy! Here's hoping they actually drop the mandate in May...it's been pushed back so many times already. It remains to be seen if they will actually follow through in May
  17. I've been working in the US with a TN visa (medical/allied health) for several years (renewed every 3 years). Ran into an interesting issue with COVID restrictions for Feb/Mar 2023. I was not able to get vaccinated for COVID due to life threatening allergies to ingredients in the shots. I've got medical documents to verify as required by CDC. I spoke with two Border Patrol Agents at different ports of entry in Michigan before crossing to renew my visa and was told even with the appropriate documentation I would likely not be able to reenter the US! Apparently the border supervisors are not typically letting unvaxed people in regardless of documentation. Typically I do flagpole....drive from Michigan into Canada and back into Michigan. The agents suggested I purse my TN renewal via a I-129 with my employer. So I got that ball rolling quickly before my TN expired and we went with premium processing for a faster turnaround. Package was sent overnight on 2/23/23 and payments (checks) were cashed in 2 business days. Notice arrived 3/8/23 (dated 2/24/23). Looking forward to my renewal! Giving others a heads up as I would not have been aware of the situation without the Border Patrol Agents sharing.
  18. Was able to renew my driver's license in Michigan with the I-797C (TN Visa) and passport. Much easier than I thought it would be.
