  1. Thank you! Very helpful especially the info about how to exactly package the two different applications. Will definitely do that
  2. Hey, we are filing adjustment of status from esta for myself and my child ( 3 years old). i couldn’t find much Information on how exactly to file for my child. Uscis page said we need to file form I-130 as well as I-485. does anyone have experience with filing for a child and are there checklist on which forms to file for children especially? Is it really just those two forms? we will mail my application together with my child’s and separate them with a clear folder, that’s the info I got from here so far. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hello, I have two questions regarding the medical examination when you do aos. 1. can I Provide the medical form after filing and hand it in later, or is it done together with all the other documents ( hence I would make an appointment according to uscis doctors List and attend the medical examination before I even file)? I keep reading on here that you get invited to a medical after filing and wait for that, but I think that doesn’t apply to aos? The form says contact one of the close doctors and make an appointment, so that should be one of the first steps, right? 2. my child is highly allergic and according to doctors advice not vaccinated as the risk to suffer from an allergic shock is to high. I also have a doctors certificate from my home country to certify this. Does anybody have experience with this or has had a similar situation? Do I use the waiver form for him on health grounds ? Anybody ever used this and got waived on health grounds successfully? Any advice on this situation? Myself I’m fully vaccinated so it only applies to my child ( 3 years old) thanks in advance
  4. My bad I’m sorry, I entered on an esta, not tourist visa. I mixed those two up. Me and my child both entered on esta. We are planning on filing the form soon after we got married, and I am already now gathering the needed docs. That’s why I came on here to confirm. I was never married before.
  5. Thank you ! That’s what I thought. I appreciate the confirmation
  6. Is there nobody here who recently submitted the aos papers and can confirm for me if the criminal record is needed or not?
  7. I did. Couldn’t find any mention in the checklist about it, so I assume I don’t need it? Posted here to make sure I got it right. This is correct
  8. Hello, im doing aos and have a question: I read the checklist and saw that I need my child’s and my birth certificate so I ordered that from my home country as it will take a while and then have my mom send it over to me. Do I also need my police record document? It says on the checklist „if applicable“ , does that mean I only need to submit this document in case I ever had any incidents ? (Which is not the case!) or do I need to Provide it either way to proof that it’s clean and no records in it? It takes super long to get this document from my home country and is complicated to get as I would have to order it with a notarised signature etc etc and would cost a lot of money. So just want to make sure that I would not make all the effort for nothing. As far as I see this is the only documents I need from my home country, though I find the uscis checklist a little confusing so I’m a little anxious and want to make sure I have all the documents at hand when we want to fill out the forms as I am obviously not at home and need everything send to me by my mom early enough to be prepared. Thank you in advance!
