  1. Update : received our online access codes today and biometrics is scheduled in 2 weeks! Our application was received April 27th. And the biometrics appointment is scheduled for may 24th. Now wondering if that’s a good sign and how long it will take after the biometrics for the other forms to be processed 😃
  2. We received our NOAs physically in the mail today. The receipt numbers all start with IOE. I know this means electronic processing. I thought that on actual letters I was going to be able to find out which Center my case was transferred to so I could find out more about processing times ? Also I know some of you guys got information about how to create an online account to track the case on the NOA letters. Mine doesn’t mention anything. How do I do this?
  3. Is it ok to use certified mail receipt when I send out my package with USPS ? The lady at USPS recommended it but I’m not sure
  4. We did a separate affidavit of support form for my child too. In the box of form I-864 were they ask what other family Members my husband will sponsor we only put myself, as it stated to not include family members from a separate visa petition (which we thought was the case for my child as we file his own package, but send it together with Mine) I’m talking about part 3, item number 1 in confused now if we did this all correctly
  5. What would that mean exactly? I was told here on the forum that I should file two separate packages one for me one for my child and then place them both in an envelope individually and place those two envelopes together in a usps priority mail box ( mark it as: family of two) and send it out this way. Is this correct? I created two separate packages for each my son and me and included the same evidence and the same forms for my child that I used for myself. What would be the correct way of doing it?
  6. Thank you. I will redo everything before I send it out. Because of this, I do only have 2 certified copies of my marriage certificate now. (We are filing for my child as well) . I have to send out today due to lack of time (90 days will be up soon, adjusting from esta and I think the packet has to get there while I’m still in status ). You think it will be ok if I include one certified marriage certificate for each packet form I-130 (me and my sons) and then for all the other forms where it’s required just add a regular copy ?
  7. Hey there, i am about to go mail our package out and it’s ready here already in the envelope. I was advised here on the forum to do the following order: all forms in one stack, then Followed by all evidence in one stack for all forms ( no duplicate evidence since one marriage certificate, birth certificate etc. should be enough even though it is required for different several forms) now im reading here that some of u guys got rfes later on because of missing marriage certificates etc. How did you guys file and what is the best way? Is it safer to submit each form Followed by all documentation and to decouple documents even if that means I submit more than one of the same document in my package?) since everything is already in the envelope would suck having to overdo everting but I also want to avoid an rfe for something we actually did submit just because we didn’t submit enough copies? also: do i actually have to submit a separate i3025 along with the medical although that is included in the sealed envelope by the doctor Already? Saw folks here having issues with this form …

  9. Isn’t that included by the doctor in the sealed envelope anyways? I thought you’re not supposed to submit anything medical related by yourself since it is all included in the sealed envelope?
  10. Hey guys, just reading this. Will walking in for biometrics at your local uscis office help to speed up process if you’re allowed? What do you need to walk in with, if you decide to try? NOA and receipt notice? Would love to get more info on this as I would definitely like to try.
  11. I have have another question: what copies have to be certified copies? I have my birth certificate from my home country but since I’m not there obviously my mom send a scan to me via mail. Will that be good enough or do I have to submit the original certified copy? Same question for my husbands divorce decree. We have one copy that he got from the judge the day he got divorced and we made a copy of that. Will that be good enough? I browsed trough all the instructions and rarely saw uscis mentioning a certified copy, not even for the marriage certificate ( I will however still attach the certified copy either way) . So I was wondering what other copies would have to be certified ones.
  12. I was unsure about this too and I was told here in the forum to create two separate packages and places them in two different envelopes with their own evidence and then place those two envelopes in a priority mail fedex box and write on it that’s it’s a family of two
  13. Got you! So I add one certified copy for my packet and another one for my child’s packet , correct? and: I do the following order in the package : all forms (i-130, I-131, I-485, I- 864 etc etc.) and stack them. Then I add a full packet of all evidence for all the forms, correct? so I don’t do: form i-130 followed by evidence, form I-485 followed evidence. Etc etc. sorry for asking so much! You’re a huge help, thank you!
  14. Got you! Thank you for this tip, I would have definitely done that wrong and submit only the copy of the certified copy if that makes sende lol. So, I do that for every form that requires a certified copy, correct? So of example form I-130 and form I-485 requires to submit this, I will order that amount of copies at the court and submit these originals, correct?
  15. Thank you! In regards to certified copy of marriage certificate: this means make a copy of the certified original document ( a copy that includes the court stamp, correct?) or does this mean I need to submit an original certified copy that I ordered from the court and submit this exact original?
  16. The father is not in the child’s life and I have sole custody. He’s not even on the birth certificate. How do I proof „necessary permission“ to uscis in that case?
  17. Another question: do I add a table of content sheet on top of each and every form stating the form Type and attached copies? Or do I just do the table of content sheet for the whole package overall and state what forms and evidence it includes? Do I include listing of evidence or do I just state the forms that I provide?
  18. Hey guys, So as far as I understand I have to post and add my further questions here in this thread, even if it’s about different topics? so before sending our aos package out I have some remaining questions: 1. in the form instructions they only mention check for payment. If I check the uscis page they talk about credit card option too. So I printed out the credit card authorisation form and I’m going to attach one with each form with the exact pricing for that form, correct? 2. how exactly do i attach pictures as evidence ( family gatherings, parties, wedding) ? Can I place each event in a clear folder and put a post it on with the description of the event? Or do I have to write on the back of each and every picture what event and date? (We have a lot of pictures and events) 3. here in this forum it only mentions the Chicago lockbox as an Adress to send the forms to, on the uscis page they say to check which lockbox to use depending on where you live? 4. we are filing for my child too, together with me. Should I attach to his package the same evidence of bonafide marriage etc that I attach to my form I-485 and I-130? (Pictures, marriage certificate, divorce decree, joint lease for me and my husband) 5. did you guys use paper clips or clear folders to Organize and separate the different forms better? Is that allowed? Thank you!
  19. So if my son is here with me in the US his filing catergory is the same, c09, right?
  20. He’s right here in the us with me. i put c9, but it’s c09, correct?
  21. Hey there, my husband and I are sitting over the I-864 currently and are unsure of household size statements. He has two children of his own, my child as a stepchild now, and me + his ex wife he sponsored years ago who is now a lawful permanent resident. He his filing this form as a sponsor for me (his current wife) does he still have to put me under „persons who are not sponsored in this affidavit“ because we are married ? Or do we put 0, because I’m already counted in number 1. (persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit) we put three children ( including my child, who is now his stepchild, although he was never filed so far in my husband tax returns) , correct? appreciate you!
