  1. Question for our Montreal WOM friends. Has anyone had a motion to dismiss filed against their WOM and what happened following this? We can see on the WOM timeline spreadsheet from 2022 that some people had a motion to dismiss filed against their WOM but were later issued their visas. Would really appreciate anyone on here that could shed some light on this particular circumstance. TIA
  2. Hi @justanamericangrl congratulations on getting through the system so quick. You must be so happy to put this behind you. We're in the middle of our WOM and hoping to hear from the consulate soon. Wanted to ask if the consulate already had your Passport or did they request you send it into them at some point during the WOM process.
  3. Welcome aboard. Exactly the same situation myself and others have found ourselves in on here. I did receive the DS-5535 email the same day as the interview though so I would email the consulate ASAP. I have emailed them a few times and waited around 7-10 business days for an actual reply. You will receive a generic reply as soon as you email them also. Rest assured your not the only one in this awful situation.
  4. Hi Everyone. Looking into law firms to hire for our WOM. Hoping some good samaritans might share some recommendations or experiences they may have had with different firms. Right now either PIC or Josh Goldstein are our top picks but interested to hear alternative experiences with Hacking law, Nimmer ect. Thanks in advance for any shared experiences.
  5. Looking closer at the physical copy of the 221(G) I was handed at the interview. It says “Supplemental questions will be emailed to you.Passport.” Wondering what the passport at the end of that sentence means if it means anything at all? Is everyone getting DS-5535 getting the same wording as that? TIA
  6. Hi everyone. Wondering if anyone has travelled back and forth to the US to be with their spouse while in AP with DS-5535. Technically we can travel for up to 3 months at a time right? We are just wondering what our options are here as the long distance is tough as we are all aware of. Appreciate your input here.
  7. Hey. Question for all concerned. Has anyone emailed back their DS-5535 with additional evidence as attachments? The interviewer didn't take any of my spouses W2's, tax return and employment letter which I thought was of high importance? Also my Passport expires sooner than the expected time in which we will see any final decision from DS-5535. Anyone have experience in a similar situation?
  8. @Delafere Unfortunately I feel like we are in for the long haul here as there are no cases on here that look like they get processed any sooner than 12 months in IR-1. We are already preparing to be filing a WOM whenever we reach the time of waiting long enough to be eligible to file one as we even without kids are finding the long distance to be very tough. I'd be interested to share our timelines and any updates we receive in the meantime. Feel for you and your family being separated at this time. Hope you get some good news very soon.
  9. And the Group gets another new member. YAY. Interview was March 6th, interview seemed to go well, interviewer was nice and had good conversation. All going well and then just like it was nothing they issued me the 221(g). Received Ds-5535 in an email later the same day. I offered more information I had to support our case which they looked at very briefly and they then stated that there was nothing I could show them or do right there to avoid this action. I was told that a certain percentage of Visa's just don't get issued at the time of interview. Very disheartening to be here but at least we're not the only one's. Thoughts with anyone who have kid's that are dealing with this. Terrible to put legitimate families through this hardship.
