Unless you have valid reasons for an expedite (https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/expedite-requests) you have to wait your turn just like everybody else. Once she has her immigrant visa, then she'll be able to move to the US and get her green card on arrival. I'd take the advice of everybody on this thread and meet her first, particularly if she's younger than you, to make sure she genuinely loves you and wants to be with you for you, not just for a green card and/or financial benefits. The whole process will cost a fair amount and take quite a long time before she can move to the US, so best to be 100% sure before you start it. Good luck.

I-129f questions

If you are the US citizen then you are the petitioner, and your fiancee is the beneficiary. -
Filling for I-485
appleblossom replied to luke davis's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
So you are just seeking an exemption for the vaccine requirement, not the whole medical? You'll need to file for a waiver. Form I-601 is what you need, lots of info about it on the relevant section of VJ - https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/113-waivers-i-601-and-i-212-and-administrative-processes-221g/ Good luck. -
APRIL 2022 FILERS (I-130)
appleblossom replied to Orzo's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Says above they got approved on 11th May 2023 and if you look at their timeline (on their profile, just click on 'timeline' by their posts) you can see they had their interview in January. Are you saying you filed for a spouse over 2 years ago and haven't had your I-130 approved yet? Are you a US citizen or green card holder? -
It may only be another couple of weeks, but no way of knowing, it depends on what they're checking and how quickly they get responses/information from any third party. But if they haven't asked her for any other documents and have kept her passport, that's promising. No point in emailing them, nothing to do but wait it out I'm afraid. Good luck.

I thought it was a standard question for all DS-160's, under the parent info. But perhaps not.

Only EB1/EB2 update on NVC (DQ, IL)
appleblossom replied to snm2212's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
it is usually quicker than that. What’s your Priority Date? Please fill in your timeline when you get a mo. -
If you search the forum you'll find lots of references from others who have been through the process or are going through the process. But there's no way of knowing how long yours will take, it could be another day, or another year. You say that you're the male but also talk about 'our case' in your first post, so have you already got your visa?
-
Because your Priority Date isn't current yet. As above, you don't want your I-130 approved and your case to be transferred to NVC yet! There is no visa available to you for several years anyway, so if you want your 20 year old to be able to get a visa as well, you need the I-130 to take as long as possible so that she doesn't age out.

Yes. "Do you have any other relatives in the United States". He'd have to answer yes to that and give details of you and his cousins.

OK, if he's Pakistani then his chances are slim at best anyway. Your sister may stand more of a chance if she applies on her own - her husband staying in Pakistan would be a good tie for her to show.
-
That's good then, your daughter shouldn't age out. I wouldn't chase it - you want it to take as long as possible!
-
Could be 4 months or so from start to finish for an EB case though, depending on the consulate and if premium processing is selected. So pretty quick in terms of getting an IV really - for my case it took longer for the lawyer to prepare the submission than it did for the actual processing!

Montreal embassy EB-2 interview wait time-Part 2
appleblossom replied to Blueeyes1989's topic in Canada
No, you need to contact Paris directly - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/immigrant-visas-processing-general-faqs.html#ivp13 -
Montreal embassy EB-2 interview wait time-Part 2
appleblossom replied to Blueeyes1989's topic in Canada
Yes, you would, and you might find Paris wants proof of French residency, not just citizenship. Most consulates don't like you 'consulate shopping' and will only accept cases from those who are actually resident there - no idea if Paris is among them though, so you can always give it a try. Good luck. -
Because (a) we didn't know if your PD was current or not (you'd be amazed how many people have no idea about the Visa Bulletin), and (b) your interview wait only starts once your PD does become current and you're added to the queue for an interview. So it's useful to know your PD to see if you were current before you were DQ'ed or not. But it's about 12 months for first priority cases to get an IL from DQ date (spouses etc), but yours will be behind them. Can't find any other EB applicants, but lower priority family cases have been waiting for several years - most recent case I can find is still waiting after being DQ'ed in Sept 2020. If you click on your name at the top, the 'my timeline' section is one of the things on the menu. There aren't many of us EB applicants around, so the more timelines we have, the better. Thanks and good luck.
