  1. Did you get confirmation that your medical results had been received? You don’t normally get any kind of written approval, just a verbal one at the interview. It can take a couple of weeks for the visa to be issued and passport returned so there’s no need to worry at all if your interview was only a couple of working days ago. Keep an eye on your online status, when it changes to ‘issued’ you know the visa has been printed and put in the passport, it should then be received within a week or so. Your tracking number will be online when it’s sent. Good luck.
  2. What type of case, which consulate, and what’s your PD?
  3. If you don't qualify for an expedite (pregnancy isn't a valid reason - as per the sticky thread), then there's nothing you can do other than wait it out I'm afraid. On the plus side, the NVC side of things is pretty quick at the moment, and I don't think Malaysia has a big backlog, so hopefully once the I-130 is approved the second stage won't take as long. How pregnant are you? Is travelling to your husband and staying with him in Malaysia an option?
  4. Scroll up - info is above, an engineer.
  5. No, afraid not - it would be a guessing game for anybody really.
  6. So your Mom petitioned your aunt 12 years ago? If so, at least another decade. She needs to keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin to see when her Priority Date becomes current, she can’t be scheduled for an interview until it is. Good luck.
  7. Not sure who you’re asking but it’s usually because a PD isn’t current.
  8. I know, I meant in terms of just consular 'green card'/IV apps. Glad she's all sorted. 👍
  9. Which consulate? I assume London from your profile but just double checking! If it's London then there's a long CR1 specific thread in the UK sub forum.
  10. Only employment based IV's still get an envelope. On her visa it should say 'IV Docs in CCD', which means they've been sent electronically.
  11. So the usual process then. 👍
  12. Was it definitely an immigrant visa? Not a K1? If so I think it was just coincidence, as it’s NVC that schedules the interviews for IV’s.
  13. Oh, sorry, I misread. Your time to DQ had nothing to do with the consulate though, that’s done by NVC.
  14. Pakistan has a very long wait for interviews anyway, it's a couple of years I think - so you may not need to delay anything.
  15. If you were a citizen at birth, he didn't need to apply for anything for you (other than a passport if you wanted one). Sounds like he may meet the requirements to have passed citizenship on to you, but best to check it carefully yourself - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/travel-legal-considerations/us-citizenship/Acquisition-US-Citizenship-Child-Born-Abroad.html Were your parents married?
  16. What's your Priority Date? Please fill in your timeline, there aren't many of us EB applicants around so the more we have the better, thanks. And where were you born?
  17. As I said above, that's just details of the documents IF they are required. You need to look at the following very carefully and make sure you have everything on these lists. The police cert from Romania IS required, but there's no mention of national ID card on any of them. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/diversity-visa-program-entry/diversity-visa-interview/diversity-visa-prepare-for-interview.html https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html (make sure you go all the way to the bottom of this page for extra info for DV applicants too). Good luck.
  18. I'm sorry but I'm still not seeing where it says that to get a Romanian police cert you need a Romanian ID card??
  19. OK, so is there a reason you think you need a Romanian ID? I'm not seeing it on the website requirements.
  20. Have you been given a checklist for your interview? If so, what does that say? The country specific guidelines are only to tell you exactly what document is needed IF it's required - but they're not all required.
  21. I know you're in Canada, that isn't relevant. Plenty of people have to get police certificates from multiple jurisdictions, as per the table given above. Don't waste time, just start gathering the documents required as per the checklist. Good luck.
  22. Right, what we're trying to determine is if you are already a US citizen (and have been since birth). When has he lived in the US and for how long?
  23. OK, then it shouldn't take long, but do get started today to make sure you have it in hand before your interview. And make sure you get the exact document required - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Romania.html Good luck.
  24. But how did he get US citizenship and when?
