CR1 - Job Offer USA
appleblossom replied to users1998's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Highly unlikely, but you can certainly try for an expedite. If it's not granted, then I'd wait to apply for any more jobs until you're much further along in the process. Good luck. -

OK, then no, she aged out a long time ago unfortunately. -
derivative beneficiary question
appleblossom replied to Redcapp's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Also, if PD is 07/16/12, then your PD isn’t current for filing yet - it will be on 1st January. So subtract the length of time the I-130 took to be processed from your daughters age on 1st Jan 2025 - if it puts her older than 21 then she’s aged out. If it puts her younger than 21 then she still qualifies for a visa. -

Again, we need to know how long the I-130 took to be approved. That’s the crucial bit of info. Basically, for CPSA you can subtract the time the I-130 took from the actual age. So for example, if the I-130 takes 2 years to be processed, then that person can still qualify for a visa up to the age of 23, as you add the 2 years on to the ‘age out’ age of 21. -

How long did the I-130 take? What is the Priority Date and when was it approved? You need to know that to work out if she's aged out or is protected by CPSA. -
Adjustment of status
appleblossom replied to Dawid1's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
It is for immediate relatives - but the OP is a green card holder, not USC. -

You listed them under section 4 of the I-130? You'll be sent a Welcome Letter with your case number on, and then you can log in and pay fees, submit docs, etc. What's your PD and which country? How old is your daughter and how long did the I-130 take to process? -
You don't need your green card to do that, your endorsed visa in your passport acts as a temporary green card for the first year anyway. So you don't need it until July next year.

Administrative Processing at the London Embassy
appleblossom replied to Moda25's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that it's a quick approval for you after the 18th and you can start 2025 together in the US. Good luck. -

Stokes interview is where they basically interview you both to see if your answers match up to questions given. Sounds like you should be fine if it's your 9th trip together, what evidence did you give of your relationship? I wonder if it wasn't enough so that's why they're questioning it. -

No, not common at all. Sounds like they have some doubts about your relationship, it may be a Stokes interview. But at least they've given you the chance of an interview rather than a rejection. When's the interview? -
Required Marriage Certification for Nepal
appleblossom replied to Gokarna Adhikari's topic in Asia: South
For all documents you need to check this webpage, it gives you the info on what is required for the marriage cert - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Nepal.html Looks like the ward certificate is compulsory if you married after 2017. Good luck. -
You spoke to a call centre agent (that will probably be pretty useless), not an officer. But the form is what you needed so hopefully that will get you sorted. My daughter’s card didn’t turn up either, turned out her photo needed to be redone as it wasn’t good enough, so she had to go and do that. Hopefully it will be something equally simple for you. Good luck.

DX Delivery - London Embassy
appleblossom replied to UK to MN's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Oh that’s good! What does your online status say? When it changes to ‘issued’ you’ll know it’s about to be on its way back with a lovely visa in it. -
How did you contact USCIS? Did you fill in the form? https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc If so, that's all you can do for now until they get back to you.

Adjustment of status
appleblossom replied to Dawid1's topic in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas
Just to confirm, you've also filed I-130 and her Priority Date was current when you submitted the I-485? When does her F-1 expire? -
If you scroll down the processing times page you can check the date you can submit an enquiry for your case, my guess is it'll be far too early though.

May 2023 Filers I-130
appleblossom replied to LennyO's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Your previous posts say your I-30 was approved back in June? Or do you mean waiting for an interview? If so, lots will be - some consulates still have a 2+ year wait for interviews. Manila does the odd 'mass expedite' thing, but the last one (a couple of weeks ago) was for those DQ'ed up to April 2024 I believe, so you might be in the next one. Good luck. -

How long for your SSN recently?
appleblossom replied to Rachel n Tyler's topic in Social Security Numbers
Which district? For example, for Lubbock Country (after a quick Google), they say 'Both parties must provide their social security number or state they have none.' https://www.lubbockcounty.gov/department/division.php?fDD=2-7#:~:text=*Both parties must provide their, the presence of the Clerk. I'd just give them a call or pop in and ask. It would be very odd if there was no way to get married without one, after all tourists can get married and they definitely won't have one!
