  1. For the USC? OK, probably not that common but you can hunt around the forums and see what others have said. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-a-chapter-5 Which consulate? Remember that even if the I-130 is expedited you’ll need to request expedition again with NVC and the consulate.
  2. OK, so hopefully approval in the summer. What are the grounds for expediting?
  3. You’ll find people who have expedited, but whether their experience would be relevant to you or not would depend on your reason for an expedite i.e. if it’s medical grounds etc. When did you submit the I-130? Please fill in your timeline as well? It helps people help you, and pays it forward to others as well.
  4. You got a green card that you weren’t eligible for, and then citizenship that you weren’t eligible for either. As @nastra30 said, it will be a long drawn out process before your citizenship is revoked and you’re deported. Your call, but if it was me I would just return to my home country rather than facing the stress and expense of all of that, and to reunite with my children much sooner too.
  5. Ignore the ‘My Progess’ tab completely, it’s never accurate. Current I-130 processing time is approx 16 months so assume around then unless you can get an expedite. Best of luck.
  6. Yes, you can file it. Some people think it helps. There’s still a long way to go though, can you plan a visit with each other so that you have something to look forward to and break up the wait maybe?
  7. No, not until the EAD is in hand. That’s one of the downsides of the K1, and why many people choose to do a spousal visa instead, so they can work immediately upon arrival to the US. @Crazy Cat has an excellent comparison of the two routes -
  8. OK, so no, the great-grandchildren can’t be included. The grandchildren may have aged out as well, it will depend on their ages and how long the I-130 took to be approved.
  9. Which visa category? Is the petitioner a US citizen or green card holder? And who exactly have they petitioned?
  10. Marketplace just makes it easier to see it all in one place, but a new immigrant isn’t usually going to qualify for anything like Medicaid anyway. You can go direct to the companies on there though. You can check online, it will depend on age, location, etc, but I’d budget somewhere between $1000 and $2000 a month.
  11. It was only expedited a couple of weeks ago. You can see the criteria here, but tbh there’s no point with London as it’s super quick anyway so an expedite isn’t likely to be make any difference. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/immigrant-visas-processing-general-faqs.html#ivp7
  12. No, she’ll be able to do it in Montreal if she’s resident in Canada.
  13. There wouldn't have been an issue if you’d been honest, but sounds like you weren’t. So yes, there may be an issue, but all you can do is wait and see. There’s no set time and no next step, other than just waiting it out. Good luck.
  14. The next step for what? Please fill in your timeline, thanks.
  15. It’s for people that haven’t paid, it will cover all sorts of visas so the box is there for others that do have to pay. The fact that it’s greyed out on your view says you have paid.
  16. Of course it is. The fact that she’s talking about feeling ‘safe’ tells you all you need to know - she’ll be making notes for a VAWA case, including how she only felt ‘safe’ enough to meet you if it was in a public place. And you agreeing to that is just giving her more ammunition. +1.
  17. They’ll be sent to the address on your DS-260’s if you ticked that box. Usually received about 10 days after entry.
  18. The only issue is immigration, as that’s all she cares about. I know it’s hard to see the reality when you’re in the midst of it, but from what you’ve said she’s clearly never loved you and only loved the green card you could have given her.
  19. Agreed. As everybody has said, she’s very clearly trying to line things up for a VAWA case. I cannot understand why the OP is continuing to allow her to manipulate him and to dictate everything. I hope the OP has cancelled the I-130. And she should be served with divorce papers asap.
  20. Not possible. If your son is in India then he can’t enter the US with the intent to adjust status, that would be immigration fraud.
  21. Ask yourself what you could show at your interview if asked to prove you didn’t intend to stay when you entered the US? Without a job and home, the ties you could still show to your home country are presumably minimal. Your call obviously, but there’s no way I’d risk it if it was me. Talk to the lawyer about the possible consequences of you being found to have misrepresented yourself, it wouldn’t just be a visa refusal you’d be facing.
  22. No, you have to pay it online. If it was issued that long ago it must be in the system, are you absolutely sure you’re putting the right numbers in?
  23. OK, you said you both had been fully vaccinated other than flu and Covid though? Hence I assumed that was a typo. People who apply for a waiver citing religious grounds usually haven’t had any vaccines at all (or if they have, only as young children, none as adults - and they haven’t given any to their children). Some consulates don’t do the varicella vaccine and so it’s waived - it was for us in London as it’s not given in the UK. I’ve no idea about Madrid but you may find the same thing, they’ll soon tell you if you are missing any vaccines though and if so you’ll be given the choice of getting them done, or a waiver. Good luck.
  24. Daphne is just talking about the wait for an interview, not the whole wait - the OP is already over a year in to the process.
