  1. 4. ACRO are accepting applications via email, as mentioned above. They sent me the forms via email last Friday, I completed them and returned this with all the requirement supporting documents later that day. They phoned me on Saturday to take a card payment over the phone, and I've had confirmation today that our certificates are on their way to us (should be delivered tomorrow).
  2. Presumably you'll have to renew your L1 visa anyway (as you won't have EAD by May if you do AOS). So you shouldn't have to leave the US if you do decide to do CP, other than for your interview. I'd check interview wait times though, CP can be much quicker but I believe Canada has lengthy interview backlogs at the moment. Good luck.
  3. I can't see why not, as long as you don't require originals to be sent. If he's happy to do that, and can do it promptly (a courier will usually only take a day or two to get documents to the US from most places, so it would be awful if he delayed it for you!), then it should be fine. I'd just ask him to make sure it's sent via trackable post.
  4. As long as your country of birth isn't China or India then you're fine and hopefully will get DQ'ed very soon. My PD is 8th Feb 2023, but my category is Current. Hope you hear something very soon.
  5. OK, so you can't file yet, but hopefully it won't be too much longer (assuming you come under Rest of World of course). I'm following this thread as although I'm EB1, I'm about to submit documents and enter the queue for an appointment at London, so keeping a close eye on how long it takes for everybody here to get their interviews. There doesn't seem as much info out there about employment based IV's as there is about family ones, so it's really useful info. Hope it's not long for everybody to wait. Good luck!
  6. What's your priority date?
  7. Then I don't think you can submit online - have a look at this thread for more info.
  8. What does your Welcome Letter say to do? How are you applying, which category? I'm applying under EB1 and have to mail the documents, not everybody can upload them.
  9. The problem is that AP covers a huge range of things. Everybody goes through it but it could be them printing the visa and putting it in your passport (which is the case for the majority of people, and is a few days) or lengthy background checks being needed (months/years).
  10. Hopefully somebody with experience of the interview wait time for that consulate can give you some info. Good luck.
  11. Which consulate? Some still have huge backlogs and long waits for appointments.
  12. There's a step by step guide to the whole process on the NVC website - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html HTH.
  13. That doesn't seem right at all. Our I-140 was approved on 18th Feb (TSC) and sent to NVC 5 days later on 23rd Feb. I'd definitely keep chasing it up.
  14. wow, that's super quick. Ours was approved on 18th Feb, sent to NVC 23rd Feb so going on their published times we should get the welcome email next week if all is ok, but maybe it'll be sooner if others are hearing back in just a couple of days. Good luck with your parents app.
  15. Is that specific to spousal applicants? We're applying for an employment based green card and NVC timelines show approx 3 weeks for case creation/welcome letter once it's been sent to NVC. Ours was sent on 23rd Feb, so I was expecting the email sometime next week, but your info seems to say we should have it already? Thanks.
  16. We were having the same quandary, but I have a business account with Starling, and it turns out they do US checking accounts for customers. Free for the first month then £5 per month thereafter. It might be worth checking to see if your bank does the same? I don't know if it will work or not yet as we're still waiting for our welcome letter to pay the fees, but it gives me a US account number and APH routing number, so I can't see why it wouldn't. We also looked at other options like Wise/Revolut/AirWallex before I found I could open a US account with my current bank in just a few clicks, again I don't know if they would definitely work but it might be worth a try before you spend out on a flight over there? Good luck.
