Nobody here is going to agree with a suggestion to commit immigration fraud. Your plan isn't feasible for various reasons anyway. If you really want to move to the US then it would be far better if you put your efforts in to gaining further education and skills, and becoming eligible for a visa yourself. Good luck.

Not sure just an address will do it, have you got things like council tax bills to back it up? You've presumably already put your address as Pakistan on the forms? I've seen some consulates that allow it (Turkey springs to mind), London seems to have a stricter policy. In their FAQ page it says "Immigrant and fiancé(e) visas should be processed by the embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of residence". But absolutely worth trying, good luck.

Only EB1/EB2 update on NVC (DQ, IL)
appleblossom replied to snm2212's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
That's just the auto response, there's currently a 6 day wait for a response to enquiries, so hopefully they'll get back to you soon - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html -
Civil Documents.

Can't say for sure about the Covid vaccine as my children are older so had both had two doses, but hopefully the info above helps. And no worries at all. EB1's are pretty rare, so happy to help with our experience! When we applied in February I could never have imagined that we'd be moving with green cards in July (we already had O visas in hand, so would have moved then anyway, but had expected the IV process to take a heck of a lot longer). I hope your process is as quick and painless as ours was. Best of luck.

From my reading of the requirements chart, Covid vaccine is required for all ages - https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/pdf/vaccine-requirements-according-to-applicant-age-p.pdf Note that the varicella requirement is waived for those applying from the UK if they've had chickenpox before, the docs at the medical will just tick a box to say it's not needed (I wasn't asked for any proof of any of us having chickenpox, just said we had all had it and they ticked it).

Police reports - how many copies?
appleblossom replied to matchakat's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
Yes to all of the above. 🙂 -
As I said, all of mine came from that domain for the consular part of the process. I also had emails from 'state.gov', but only for the NVC part - once my case was transferred to the consulate they all came from the 'usvisa-info.com' email. I've just checked and they all ended with 'Best regards, The GDIT Visa Appointment and Information Service Team'. This is the domain, it's legit. https://ais.usvisa-info.com The emails included receipts for paying the courier fee, confirmation of my interview (with full details of what to bring etc), confirmation of premium delivery for passport return, etc. About 9 emails in all from them during the consular process. HTH.

I-140 approval -> Welcome letter timeline
appleblossom replied to matchakat's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
Hopefully it won't take too long. We had our EB1's approved via London in July, you can look at my timeline for info but London is super quick at the mo (some consulates have a 2 year + wait for an interview, London is only a couple of months!). So I'm sure you'll be approved before too long. Best of luck. -
I-140 approval -> Welcome letter timeline
appleblossom replied to matchakat's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
I doubt it's a mistake, just a backlog after the summer I suspect, with less staff due to holidays and lots more applications to get through. It's still pretty quick though, used to take 6 months or more! So hopefully you'll get the WL very soon, good luck. -
The US isn’t like Canada that has ‘x amount of time to maintain residency’. As a LPR she’s expected to be living permanently in the US, any time outside can cause an issue if she’s suspected of not living in the US, there’s no minimum. She’ll definitely need as many ties as possible to the US to show that’s her permanent home and is only studying abroad temporarily - bank account is a must, driving licence, tax returns etc. My own daughter will be doing the same thing (studying in the UK), but she’ll have the advantage of 18 months in the US first to establish herself here. And FWIW, I’d still strongly suggest she gets Canadian citizenship as she’s eligible. Just to keep her options open for the future.

EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023
appleblossom replied to OnPoint's topic in United Kingdom
Ah. The 4-6 month timescale won’t apply so ignore my response above completely! You’ll be contacted and asked to submit documents etc to NVC once Table B reaches your date - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-september-2023.html No interview will be scheduled until your PD is current (which is Table A). All you can do is keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin (released monthly) and see when it gets to your date. Good luck. -
EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023
appleblossom replied to OnPoint's topic in United Kingdom
Your Priority Date is the key date - it’ll be on your I-797 (receipt notice). It’s essentially when your I-140 was filed and accepted. The date on the current Visa Bulletin for EB-2 is 1st July 2022, so is your Priority Date before that? Unfortunately, being Nigerian may add extra processing time, but hope it all goes smoothly for you. -
EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023
appleblossom replied to OnPoint's topic in United Kingdom
Hi, welcome and congrats. Approximately 4-6 months as a very rough guide, depends on how quickly you submit docs, pay the fees etc. But that is assuming your PD is current? If not, then it'll be longer. -
It sounds like she's got some tricky decisions ahead. To maintain her Canadian PR status she'll need to stay in Canada for 2 years out of every 5, but that would mean her risking losing her US LPR status, and vice versa. Is she eligible for Canadian citizenship? Sounds like she would be, so maybe she could get that underway asap? It won't be quick, but at least would keep the option of Canada open in the future once she has it. And is the boyfriend a serious one? Might also be worth talking to her about the wait she'd face sponsoring him for a green card in the future if marriage was on the card at any point and she wasn't a US citizen. It may factor in to her decision, and with the potential of losing her Canadian PR/giving up her Canadian studies/having to wait living apart from her boyfriend/partner/husband, she may decide it's not worth trying to maintain the US LPR status. And just with regard to the original question, you don't all have to enter the US together. The principal applicant has to enter with the dependents or ahead of them - so your daughter could follow on later before the visa expiry date. You can fly directly to the US and so can she, no need to go via Canada to pick her up.

Sorry to disagree with SalishSea, but I think it's genuine. All emails about my both my non-immigrant and immigrant visas consular process came from 'donotreply@usvisa-info.com' (everything to do with interview, sending in docs, registering for courier, paying the fee etc - all came from that email address). You do also have to register the appointment for most consulates once it's been scheduled (I certainly had to for mine - London - https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/how-to-apply-2/). And the fee may refer to the green card fee perhaps? Or it could be the fee for passport return/courier fee (ours was £21 per person, paid once the interview was scheduled and before it took place). Without seeing the email or knowing what you're applying for, it's hard to know.

Only EB1/EB2 update on NVC (DQ, IL)
appleblossom replied to snm2212's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
Yes, you can be both. I'd message them but it will take them a while to get back to you, so if you can then I'd also submit the DS-260 confirmation page, and a covering letter re-confirming you are the only applicant and don't have any dependents. You might find that gets you DQ'ed earlier than waiting for them to get back to you via the enquiry service. -
Only EB1/EB2 update on NVC (DQ, IL)
appleblossom replied to snm2212's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
Weird. Mine just said 'completed' too, it sounds like they think you've got a spouse or children. As above, I'd submit your confirmation page and then reiterate that it's just you with no dependents. -
Waiting for an interview.
appleblossom replied to Biscuit2020's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
It's not the same, immigrant visa applicants usually have to wait for the interview to be scheduled for them. HTH. -
EB2-NIW Waiting for Interview Letter in London 2023

Congrats! Concluded unless you decide to apply for citizenship in 2028….and then that’s another application to go through. Best to enjoy the green cards for now and not think about that yet though. 😂 -
Bringing adult son to U.S.
appleblossom replied to mopartj's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
No, there’s still a lot of steps to go through. See the webpage below, you’re only at step 1 of the process now. Just keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-september-2023.html) to see when your step sons Priority Date might be coming up, you’ll be asked to start the NVC process before it’s current (Table B), but no interview will be scheduled for him until it’s current (Table A). Good luck. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html -
Beneficiary moving to Canada
appleblossom replied to ceedstn's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Could be tricky getting in to Canada as a visitor if your aim is to find a job and stay, make sure you have ties to the Phillipines still - and the job hunting/LMIA process can easily take 6 months, so make sure you have funds to support yourself whilst unable to work, and good insurance too. Of course, this assumes you're already licensed to work as a nurse in Canada?
