    Never heard of less than a year, but it also shouldn’t take another year. Ignore your online guesstimate, it’s notoriously accurate. Seems to be around 13-14 months at the moment so hopefully approval any day now. Don’t forget to check the documents tab, approval is usually there quite a while before you get notified. Good luck.

    They are treated the same once they get there, but that can take a while for that to happen so it probably isn’t there yet. What does your status say?

    Then personally I’d do it. We got our O visas in less than 3 weeks last year. It would be worth doing as back up if you can.

    They may not even know - if it’s been sent to DoS for background checks they won’t be aware of what’s going on behind the scene. It could be your military background, or your criminal record, or a combination of both. The criminal record wasn’t drugs related was it?

    When you say ‘specifically Covid-19’, does that mean others vaccines have been administered? If so a waiver is very unlikely to be granted.

    They’ve already said the cut off will be 50K for Europe. So it will depend on how quickly you can be interviewed and if you can get granted a visa before the deadline - so which consulate? Some have longer waits than others. Good luck.

    I'm not sure it will make much difference tbh, even now they know you're very unlikely to be a derivative beneficiary. All you can do is apply and see what happens. Good luck.

    Far longer than yours. As I said above, the average processing time for the I-130 is 4.5 years, so there would normally be 15 years or so between the I-130 being approved and a visa becoming available. Are you married?

    Yes, exactly. Given the average is 4.5 years and it's already been double that, I think it's very unlikely it'll take that long to be approved. But you never know. Are you married?

    So you were 20 when the petition was filed? I can't see any way you'd not age out then tbh. What does the online case status say?

    No, not after approving the I-130 petition, just from today. The I-130 petition could be approved tomorrow, or in several years, no way of knowing that. I'm surprised it hasn't been approved already if it was filed in 2013, are you sure it hasn't? Average processing time given is 4.5 years. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ But it's hugely helpful it it really has taken 10+ years to approve it if you are trying to qualify under CPSA. If you can give more details of ages/dates, then people can tell you if they think there's any chance under CPSA or not. Presumably you're a child of the sister?

    Which country? If it's not Mexico or the Philippines then another decade or so to go as a rough guess - longer if from either of those two countries.

    Sounds like you've already got the interview scheduled and are just trying to register? So you would just use the one case number, as you should all be under that case together anyway. Good luck.

    I haven't seen August's VB yet, if it didn't retrogress then that's good (given they said it would in the July bulletin). So you'll still be in the queue, recently it seems to be a year from DQ to IL for EB applicants in Rio, hopefully you'll be ahead of older cases in the queue though. Fingers crossed.

    If your I-130 was approved in April then you could have your visa by now! I’ve no idea why your lawyer hadn’t completed the NVC side of things already. Why not just do it yourself if she’s holding things up?     Yes, but it's a goal of 10 days for those that are eligible for expedites. It doesn't seem that you are as there is no hardship to a USC so no grounds for an expedite. If they respond (they may not, as it's nothing to do with a USC), then it wouldn't be quick as you'll be in the queue behind those who are eligible for an expedite and who need urgent action taking on their case. But all you can do is wait and see if they do respond, and if you somehow get lucky and they grant it. But personally I'd be looking at a Plan B i.e. reentry permit. Good luck.

    It’s done by DQ date for those eligible to receive visas, not PD. So what is your DQ date, and PD? Please do fill in your timeline, thx.
