  1. London is usually pretty strict and just being a citizen isn’t enough, you do have to be resident there. So you can try but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. What is your PD, is it current?
  2. Ah, ok. Definitely not December then if your PD isn’t current until the Jan bulletin, you won’t be added to the queue until there’s a visa available to you. So hopefully Jan IL for a Feb interview. Good luck.
  3. We already know it's not current next month, as the VB for January has been released. Personally if I had to guess (and it really is just a guess) I don't see it becoming current anytime soon.
  4. Depends on if you're in a rush really - you can delay the interview but may end up waiting longer in the end if you do that. Personally, I'd still go to the interview and then they'll just hold approval until anything missing is received. But if the medical appointment is on 10th Jan then it shouldn't take until 24th Jan for them to be received by the consulate, they're sent electronically and usually pretty quick (ours were received 2 days after the medical). Good luck.
  5. She should definitely have it by now, as above you need to track it using the case status website (with the receipt number from the GC fee). See what that says. If the status is stuck on 'fee was paid', then you need to fill in this form to get things moving and find out what's wrong - https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDCForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndc It might be that she has to redo her biometrics or photo or something like that (same thing happened to my daughter, her GC never arrived and it was because her photo wasn't acceptable so had to be redone). But don't panic, her endorsement on her IV in her passport is good as a temporary GC for a year.
  6. Which country is the police cert for? And what questions are they asking about your husband?
  7. No, just those ones wouldn’t be sufficient, you do need the rest (except varicella if you are from the UK), you won’t get the visa otherwise. Visa Medicals won’t give them all to you in one day if you don’t have any, as it’s just too many. So you’d be better off getting at least some before your medical, then you can have the rest done there.
  8. Ghana’s a couple of years from DQ to IL I believe. But you can search the forum for timelines and relevant threads. This one may be a good place to start -
  9. For the step by step guide you need this webpage - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
  10. Maybe 20 years or so, if her son is 11 now he’ll have aged out by the time she gets a visa. Only certain relatives can sponsor, if you’re the only eligible one then you’ll have to petition her.
  11. Same answer as the last time you asked this question, you must be living in the US -
  12. Not sure about flight insurance, but most airlines let you pay extra for a flexible ticket which is strongly advised, just in case it all takes much longer (i.e. she's put in AP at interview).
  13. Yes, that's fine. No need for the plastic green card at all in the first year, so you can just get it when you return to the US rather than risk a friend sending it. Just get them to keep it safe for you for when you return - and make sure you don't stay out too long. Good luck.
  14. I'm sure they do, but you only posted 9 hours ago and it's 5 days before Christmas so most people are super busy! Patience is a virtue as my grandmother used to say…. I'm sure somebody will be along to help at some point (I myself have no clue). Good luck.
  15. Could be anything, just staffing levels for that particular day, or other expedited cases needing those appointments more. But I’m a bit confused - you mention submitting IR2 apps to the Montreal embassy? What did you actually submit and where to?
  16. It’s about a 2 yr wait for Islamabad. This thread is for spouse visas but will give you an idea at least -
  17. You're already on it! You can go to the Philippines sub forum on here, or search the timelines to give you an idea of how long people are waiting for an interview once they're added to the queue.
  18. Go to the second post on this thread, follow the link there. Think it's about a year to get the interview letter.
  19. No, you’ll get the actual tracking number when it’s despatched, but also other updates - things like ‘we’ve ordered your card to be produced’, ‘your card has been produced’, ‘your card has been sent’ etc. Does it say something about payment being received? That’s the status that should show until it’s being produced but if he’s only just arrived maybe it’s too soon for that. I’d also highly recommend you sign up to Informed Delivery if you don’t have it already, it’ll show up as Special Delivery from USCIS.
  20. No worries. Just keep an eye on the status, that’ll tell you when it’s being transferred to the consulate. And I’d recommend you search for info on Manila, both to get an idea of how long the wait time is there for an interview date, and also to check that it’s a consulate that will schedule the interview for you and not expect you to do it yourself. Best of luck.
  21. It is very good news it certainly won’t be ‘any day now’ as there is still no visa available to him until January. And I’m not sure what the wait is like for an interview in the Philippines, but once January rolls around he’ll be added to the queue for one, so hopefully not too much longer to wait. Good luck.
  22. Where are you now? In the US or your home country?
  23. There were lots of unused visas in the EB categories in that period. Nearly 67,000 went unused in 2021 alone. Consulates don't set the Priority Dates, it's managed by the DoS. And the DR hasn't gone over the legal quota at any point, it would create a huge furore if they did and open up all sorts of legal challenges. The monthly reports aren't helpful or relevant really. Here is last year's annual report on the visas issued subject to the country cap for info - https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2022AnnualReport/FY22_TableV.pdf
