You are You are mistaken I'm afraid. When one applies for i485, there should be a A# assigned at that time, and is listed on the receipt notice. That's why I am confused and asking if anyone else had something similar happen to them

Has anyone experienced this? I applied for my parents and i485 receipt or the i130 receipt have no A#. They did overstay their visit visa so unsure if that's causing any issue.
