Hi everyone.
Let me explain my case: I'm currently in Spain with my husband completing NVC requirements to get DQ'ed and hoping for the embassy interview.
We've been having problems finding a sponsor so I'm planning to come back to US and start a new job to fulfill this requirement.
So a few questions:
- If I start a job, let's say in May, my Current Income in Form I-864 is my weekly pay times the remaining weeks of the year or my weekly pay times 52?
- I don't have W2's because I was in Spain the last years, with 3 payslips I can make up for that? I have read that I should write a letter explaining this.
- If I don't reach the minimum income, can I use my bank account in Spain to compensate or I should move the money to a US bank account?
- What happens if I change my job during the year and my payslips show a low figure in YTD income?
Thanks. I have heard that the embassy has a fascination with joint-sponsors but I don't think that'll work for us, so I would like to know how I can increase my chances to get it right the first time.
