Hi everyone! Maybe someone has been through this and can give me some insight on what to expect next.
I filed an I-130 for my mother last year when she was in Italy. Since then she applied for a non immigrant visa (B2) and is currently in the US. Yesterday her petition got approved and her file was sent to the National Visa Center for immigrant visa processing. I tried contacting USCIS through Emma and they told me that I can just apply for adjustment of status from here and attach the approved I 130. I tried contacting the State Department to see if I need to somehow stop the process of them issuing an immigrant visa and sending all the info to the Consulate for an interview, but only did through their Inquiring system since they can’t be reached via phone anymore and didn’t get a response yet.
