  1. I don't know if you tried this already but I was handed a piece of paper after the interview and it had the following email and phone number. Try emailing and calling on Monday. " From Morocco: 0520485013 / From USA: 1-703-520-2245 / Email: Support-morocco@ustraveldocs.com / Working hours are 0700 - 1600 ."
  2. Hello, I hope things have moved along for you. I heard the embassy was trying to take on more cases but I am not sure. Have you heard anything or are you still in AP? I pray on this Eid day that you'll hear good news soon. Sending positive thoughts.
  3. Next week June 20th but our anniversary is on October 25th!
  4. Regardless of when the visa was issued? Meaning, say I get my visa stamped 4 months in advance, would waiting until the 2-year anniversary be worth it?
  5. Hello members! My question is simple, say you get your visa sorted out and in hand before the 2-year wedding anniversary mark and you decide to wait until after the anniversary to enter the US. Does that make you illegible for the 10-year green card? Or will you still be given the 2-year conditional green card? Meaning, does the counting start when you get your visa in hand or when you enter American soil? I'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to check this post.
  6. I am sorry to hear that. I thought that by now you should be done. Keep spamming the embassy/consulate, keep contacting them. Have you tried contacting the representative/congressman/congresswoman of your state? Maybe that can help move things a little? I wish you good luck and I hope you will continue to update this feed.
  7. Hello, I see that your updates have stopped and I hope that by now it got sorted out and that you and your wife got reunited. I admire your persistence and your dedication to still share your journey regardless of the lack of interaction it got. Thank you and good luck in life.
  8. Thank you for the clarification. I didn't know. I just regarded the procedure as an application.
  9. What certificate? Is it collected at the embassy? Can you please elaborate! Also, do you have any idea about the wait time in China for the interviews? Just wanted an approximate idea
  10. As I have mentioned before, we have applied for the CR1 I-130 and an additional K3mand have been waiting for 12 months, it's still being processed as we speak. I am not Chinese, I am from an African country, Morocco. And you are correct, my issue is the traveling portion of the whole thing, from China to the US. Most universities in China are actively calling all the students abroad to go back on-site, and take offline classes to get their degrees. And I quote " Those whole fail to return to school before August 31st, will no longer retain their academic status", and also " Students who have special reasons for not being able to enter China and return to school in time, are advised to apply for a study suspension". Losing my degree is not an option for me.
  11. 1. Morocco 2. I am in the USCIS stage at 12 months, still waiting as of today. 3. Unfortunately no, failure to return leads to the suspension of the degree. 4. My concern is not for the timing, it's more for the process part. Wouldn't it be a problem if I traveled to China and then the United States? Will I have to show proof of my stay in China regardless of it being less than 6 months?
  12. Correct, I am the beneficiary. The University is asking students to go back as it will be fully implementing offline classes starting March. Not going back can lead to the suspension of the degree. I can't say that I do not want to go back, as I still have a lot of unfinished business in China to deal with.
  13. Hello, my husband and I applied for CR1 visa in February 24, 2022, we are currently still waiting. Before all this, I used to be a student in China but ever since Covid hit I managed to go back to my country. Now my University is demanding that I go back to finish my degree ( for around 6 months max ). I was wondering, if me going back to China would delay or cause any issues in the future. Because of the special relationship both countries have, I find myself in a rather risky situation. Anybody has any idea what to do? P.s: my husband is in the US army Thank you
