  1. I’m not experiencing any issues. I just started this thread for people who may be experiencing similar issues or have questions
  2. All Liberians feel free to leave a comment here about your case or ask any questions you may have about your case with USCIS or at NVC. There are many others like you who might be experiencing similar situations.
  3. This forum is for people living in the US who have petitioned for families and loved ones living in West African countries. Leave a question or comment here to get answers from people who are in similar situations or have had similar experience.
  4. Anyone from Liberia that have questions about their approved i-130, RFE, NVC stage or interview scheduling at the US embassy in Monrovia should feel free to post here
  5. Unfortunately, you’ll just have to wait until they review your petition. What’s the estimated wait time? What service center has your petition?
  6. I’d recommend you consult with an immigration attorney
  7. If you filed for US CITIZENSHIP in 2024 or thinking about filing for US CITIZENSHIP feel free to leave a comment here or ask any questions you may have.
  8. I think it depends on the embassy staffing and workload. It usually takes anywhere from a month after the case is DQ’d to more than a year depending on the beneficiary home country. Most African countries do not process more visa applications as compared to Asia or the Middle East so the wait time should be average in your case. I’m anticipating 6 months or less. Nothing to worry about. Some Asian and middle eastern countries have a longer wait time to get an interview. I was reading on another thread where this dude said his beneficiary had been waiting for about a year and a half to have an interview scheduled. I believe they from the UAE
  9. What’s the current processing time for your case under the “myProgress” section on your online account ? Did they issue you an RFE? What is your service center ?
  10. You should be fine as long as you responded with enough evidence and followed the instructions in the RFE. It should take anywhere from a few days to 90 days to get a response. Please keep in mind that an RFE isn't always a bad thing; in fact, it's more like a second chance to tell USCIS why they need to approve your petition. Some people don't even get an RFE; they just get denied. Good luck!
  11. True, please don't forget to share you experiences with us if you don't mind. Good luck!
  12. I appreciate your response. I already knew that, lol. I created this thread to help everyone feel confident during the process. Do you currently have a case at NVC?
  13. Anyone willing to share some information about their process and timeline with NVC should feel free to do so on this thread. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and someone might respond as soon as possible. Thank you
  14. Yea I think someone on this thread just posted about an approval of one parent.
  15. Hey, congratulations on moving towards the next step! I’d recommend you consult with an experienced immigration attorney. You can always watch a “how to fill out I-864” on YouTube as an alternative. Good luck!
  16. Has anyone got any updates? I see that general processing times are gradually improving. I’m guessing that everyone should be getting updates soon on their cases. Good luck everyone!
  17. Is your dad petition still showing 2weeks since it changed from taking longer back in September?
  18. A friend of mine went from 1 week to 3 months now it’s showing 2 months.
  19. Workload, short staffing or they simply just verifying documents that you submitted for authenticity. Could be a whole lot of different things but those three are the most common. You’re not the first and also not alone. A lot of ppl have experienced this. I’d suggest you wait and if it’s outside normal processing time you will be able to send an inquiry to know what’s happening. Good luck! 20. Yeah, the taking longer than expected could mean a lot of things. USCIS might be waiting to hear from other agencies to verify documents or they might be short staffed so you never know just keep your fingers crossed 🤞🏽
  21. What you’re seeing is just an estimate based on their current workload for cases similar to yours. This is why it goes up and down. It’s possible for processing time to shoot back up but let’s hope that never happens. Currently you should be able to see “myProgress” in your USCIS online account that should be a little accurate. It’s a new feature just been introduced for i-130 to show your personal case wait time.
