  1. ?! that's not what i meant by complicated. do you have anything to comment on regarding my specific question in the OP?
  2. yes. her situation is a bit complicated and it's not as simple as just filing an aos.
  3. Hi, all. Not sure if this is the correct sub-forum, so please feel free to move to the correct area. My fiancé is from Ukraine and is currently here on an approved TPS that is set to expire in October. We are looking to file for an AP to be able to travel abroad (we should've filed along with the I-821, but that's water under the bridge). From everything I'm reading online, the AP is valid for 12 months, but I cannot seem to locate any info if the AP expiration will coincide with her current EAD/TPS expiration. Since I-131 takes considerable time to get an approval for, I'm just trying to understand if we'll just be wasting $600 at this point. Let's say it takes 6 months (wishful thinking, judging by current processing times) to get it in, this would allow us a window of only 1 month to be able to make travel arrangements, unless that TPS designation gets extended (which is a pretty good bet at this point). Appreciate any thoughts on this.
