My status on the uscis portal says that I 485 is approved for the beneficiary. But here's my issue. I had an attorney help me through the AOS process and he passed away in the middle of the process. I have a G28 filed and everything goes to his office. I recently found out that he is selling the firm and my paralegal contact person has already switched jobs.
My question is, is there any way to withdraw form g28 aside from a written notice. I feel like my status may change soon and GC mailed out and I don't want things to get lost in the mail at the now deceased attorneys office. If I send a written notice, I don't know how long that will take to get registered and processed with the uscis and may complicate things or cause more delays? I would appreciate any advice.
