    So we are planning to apply for adjustment of status for my parents who are here on visitor visa. 3months have passed and they have another 3 months of legal stay in usa if it takes1 more month to collect documents and apply do we need to apply for extension of stay so they are still legal by the time they get any notices etc from immigration. I the petitioner am the US citizen.

    So for adjustment of status based on family, do we need to send i864 along with initial application of I 864 or it is needed in later stage?

    Hi, my parents are in the US on b1/b2, because of some change in circumstances we are thinking about cancelling their return tickets and file for AOS. I am US citizen and meet the income requirements. Where should I start? Is there any step by step guide of what are all the forms that need to be filled, do we need to extend their visit visas for them to stay in legal status? They entered 2 months ago on 6 month valid entry. I am planning to file for them in about 1 month so they still will have 3 months of legal status. So I need to fill i485 for both of them? What other forms that I need to fill? Thanks a lot. We have no idea where to start
