Yep. Refused is different to denied.

Good to know, I don’t want to freak out if I see refused for some reason haha, they told me I’m tentatively approved at the interview because the system was very slow that day but I’m approved based on interviewer.

19th Jan was only one working day ago. You'll need to be more patient, give it a few days and hopefully it will change to refused/AP/issued (and only when it changes to issued will you get the tracking number).

    Good luck.

Thank you so much for your reply. I heard that refused usually doesn’t mean refused, it’s just the way the system works and it eventually sends you the passport with the visa, is that correct?

The person who collects your document usually scan your  photograph to make a digital copy and return it to you after scanning.

Ah okay! Yeah that’s what they did I think I saw the pre interview person do it before giving it back to me. Thanks!

  4. Hi

i I had my interview few days ago in Montreal. Everything went well and the officer told me I’m tentatively approved since the system is currently slow he can’t give me full approval until the system tells him otherwise but I am approved.

He took my passport and said it will be mailed back… but the 2 passport photos I brought with me, they gave them back to me.

is it because they will be using the photo the doctors office took during my medical exam?

You can self sponsor by adding your husband's income on the same I-864 (current annual household income).  You will need to provide proof that the income will continue (husband's employer's remote work/ agreement/ documentation).

This is what I wanted to hear! Thank you so much, I looked at the form and it does say household income, it seems they care more about the household income than my own personal income. I will be going this route, thank you!!

  6. Hi everyone

Im an American citizen sponsoring my Canadian husband. We live in Canada but want to relocate to America with our children.

He’s going to work remotely, his income supports both of us as I’m not working.

Is there a specific form that I should be using when the applicant is financially supporting the petitioner?

Anything I should know before filling the I-864 with 0$ as income on my side ( I don’t think he has to file that form)

Is this going to cause any issues, as me the petitioner, I have no income, but the applicant does?

    thank you
