Hi,
I recently received an RFE from USCIS for my form I-130 for my husband. I am a Pakistani American Citizen. However, the RFE stated the following:
SUBMIT NIKAH NAMA
The marriage certificate submitted for MY NAME and MY HUSBANDS NAME is insufficient because it was not issued by the proper civil authority and/or does not meet Pakistan marriage document requirements, as outlined in the Department of State Visa Reciprocity Table..
Submit a copy of the Nikah Nama issued marriage registration certificate. The certificate must:
Be registered and issued by the appropriate civil authority in the country of birth
Include the names listed above and the date and place of marriage
Show the date of registration, seal of the issuing office, and signature of the registrar
So, I had initially submitted just my NADRA marriage certificate and nothing else. I understand that they are probably requiring the original Urdu Nikkah Nama and it’s translation which I submitted with the RFE. All of my documents are also attested with the stamps on them as well. Is this all they are asking for?
I do have a union council stamped and signed NADRA certificate that I uploaded. And I also uploaded the original Urdu Nikkah Nama that’s stamped by the Nikkah Registrar (and of course the attested Urdu translation)
is there any reason to assume there would be a denial, or have I managed to provide the information they asked?
