  1. Hi everyone, I've just received my green card, after almost 9 years of waiting. PD: Oct-13-2015 DQ: Aug-21-2020 Here's a quick timeline: - My case became current in the bulletin released in February 2024. - On March 5th, I received an email scheduling my interview abroad for April 15th. - The interview went smoothly and was completed quickly. I had to leave my passport to have the visa sticker applied. - I read that the sticker was applied on the same day, but I had to wait another week to pick up my passport. - With my passport back, I was able to return to the US. - My Green card arrived June 3rd, yesterday

  3. I'm also curious about the sequence in which F2B visas are processed. Is it as follows? I-130 approval: Ordered by submission date. Consular interview scheduling: Based on the date of documentary completion, applicable only to cases current in the final action date. I-485 approval: Organized by submission date, applicable only to cases current in the final action date and documentary complete.
  4. Has anyone been invited for an interview recently? It would be great to hear if some of us have received invitations, especially since the bulletin has recently moved forward. Does anyone know when the interview schedule notifications are typically sent out? From what I understand, they're usually distributed at the start of the month.
  5. Absolutely, our moment has finally arrived! The family-based category has seen a significant advance, outpacing employment-based categories this month. My lawyer informed me that one of her clients, with a priority date of September, 2015, has been scheduled for an interview.
  6. The "Monthly Immigrant Visa Issuance Statistics" report is out and, again, the country with exponentially more F2Bs issued is Dominican Republic (907). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-statistics/immigrant-visa-statistics/monthly-immigrant-visa-issuances.html Why was F2B ROW advancing uniformly before 2020 and now, that we've recovered from Covid, switched to be Dominican Republic focused only? Did they really issue thousands of requests in a certain point of time overwhelming other countries? I'm now in a situation that even if my Oct-2015 PD F2B is called for interview I might decline because my Oct-2023 PD EB2 process in PERM would cover my girlfriend w/o the harass of starting a F2A.
  7. They might think that work visas are more beneficial for the country than family. If that's the case it's really inhuman. btw: I'm applying for both F2B (family) and EB2 (work). My F2B is Oct-13-2015.
  8. Looks like the Feb bulletin is out, but no luck for F2B this time. Seems like we might only see advances every 3 months. Bummer 😕.
  9. Really hoping for some good news with the next bulletin, but trying not to get my hopes too high. Charlie's interview hinted at some short-term progress, so fingers crossed 🤞. Should be out this week!
  10. Thanks, he's an expert so that's great news that he thinks it'll continue to advance monthly. 2024/Jan is almost here, so we'll know soon.
  11. "Charlie is saying we should see frequent movement in F2B now" - thats nice, where did you read that?
  12. But if the DR cases are current (< October-2015) how can USCIS/NVC advance the priority date without covering their cases first, regardless of the limits?
  13. Yeah! And I'll get depressed if it doesn't mean that it'll continue moving forward in the next months.
  14. One thing that I don't get. All those people in DR must be already documentary complete, which means that their filling date is current. How can the final action date move until all of them aren't interviewed?
  15. Do you guys see any chance of any progress in December's bulletin (for Jan-24) ? By looking at this report, from June-2023, shows that F2B has one of the highest number of I130 awaiting visa availability. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/data/form_i130_awaiting_a_visa_availability_as_of_june_2023.pdf But what I don't know is how close are they from interviewing the ones already current so that the line can continue to move. I read that they usually move again in the beginning of a new quarter.
  16. It's out, nothing has changed. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-december-2023.html What's out also is the backlog report, its worst because there has being an increase in the interviewing backlog: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/visas-backlog.html
  17. Either this week or probably in the next one we'll have a new Visa Bulletin. I don't think there will be any movement, I heard that Visas are allocate quarterly, so in the best hypothesis movement in the report after that.
  18. It shouldn't be possible by law, if it's true it was an anomaly. USCIS is only reviewing/approving I130s for Jan-17 or before (except for Mexico and Philippines which's worst). Family- Sponsored All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed CHINA- mainland born INDIA MEXICO PHILIPPINES F1 01SEP17 01SEP17 01SEP17 01APR05 22APR15 F2A 01SEP23 01SEP23 01SEP23 01SEP23 01SEP23 F2B 01JAN17 01JAN17 01JAN17 01AUG04 01OCT13 F3 01MAR10 01MAR10 01MAR10 15JUN01 08NOV03 F4 01MAR08 01MAR08 22FEB06 15APR01 22APR04
  19. It was published today Number of IV applicants whose cases are documentarily complete at NVC and ready for interview as of September 30 312,018 Number of documentarily complete IV applicants scheduled for October 2023 interview appointments 38,755 Number of eligible IV applicants still pending the scheduling of an interview after October 2023 appointment scheduling was completed 273,263 From these figures, it appears the processing speed has remained consistent, but there might have been more cases qualified. Does anyone have insights on the current status of F2B visas?
  20. Does anyone knows when the backlog report is updated? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/visas-backlog.html
  21. The November bulletin is out 😢. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2024/visa-bulletin-for-november-2023.html Only Mexico progressed on final action date, other countries didn't (as I've expected). Let's wait for the Visa backlog report to be updated to see how things are progressing.
