  1. I got my passport back today! (In Saskatchewan) Interview was Monday. We plan to leave for the States on the 11th of July.
  2. I was also approved on Monday! If I remember correctly, the only documents they asked for were my passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificates, one photo, and my wife's and joint sponsor's I-864's. Since I was DQ'ed Feb. 1st, I had only uploaded tax documents from 2021, and I hadn't uploaded anything at all since being DQ'ed. I had 2022 tax documents with me, but they never asked for them. At the second window, he only asked fairly basic questions such as: How long have you been married? Is this the first and only marriage for both of you? Are you both living in Canada? How long has your wife been living in Canada? How many children do you have? Which countries have you travelled to in the last five years? Who is your joint sponsor? What does he do for a living? Why move to the US now? What is your occupation? He said the application all looked good, and he would approve it right away. He said processing time was 2 - 3 weeks and gave me a paper explaining how to track my package. I was only at that window maybe 10 minutes. I waited in line outside about 50 minutes, got inside about 40 minutes after my appointment time, and was in the office about an hour and a half. Now today I received an email stating that my passport had been shipped! I chose to have it shipped to our house since we are so far from their pick-up points. And now the tracking shows estimated delivery tomorrow.
  3. So a little confusion here in regards to the highlighted part of the attached screenshot... We got my wife's father to be a joint sponsor, and his wife is on his tax return, so according to this, she should submit an I-864A. But on the I-864A instructions it says it may only be used if the sponsor's income doesn't meet the income requirements. My father-in-law's income is easily enough to meet the income requirements; I don't think my mother-in-law even has much income, so do I really need to submit an I-864A yet too?? My interview is in a week so it was all approved at the NVC already. Any advice on this? Hopefully my explanation is clear enough.
  4. Which doctor are you going to? I was just at Dr. Zatzman on Tuesday, and they never asked for my DS-260. They wanted my Case number, passport, drivers license, and money, but not much else. I didn't need the photos I took along either. Somewhere it said to have your intended US address along, but they didn't ask for that either. I can't say how it is with other doctors, though.
  5. Another question on address changes... Since both I and my US citizen wife are living in Canada, when I filled out my DS-260, I put down the US address of friends I knew we could stay with temporarily if we needed to. I also marked "Yes" for having my Green Card mailed to that address. Now that it's getting closer to our moving date, we have arranged to rent a house at a different address. Do I need to somehow notify the Consulate or the NVC of the address change before my interview? Or can I take care of that at my interview? It still shouldn't be a problem to have my Green Card mailed to the address on my DS-260 if necessary, but at some point I'll need to get that changed in their system.
  6. My visa class is IR-1. And I'm not sure how processing times compare among the different classes.
  7. My interview is June 26. Forgot to mention - those receiving interview letters this month will likely have July interviews.
  8. I was DQ'ed Feb. 1st and received my IL Apr. 12. A friend of mine was DQ'ed I think the 16th of February but has not received his IL. From what I've seen the last few months, it looks like they generally send out IL's once a month around the middle of the month on about a Wednesday or Thursday. So my guess is that those of you DQ'ed mid-February should be getting your IL's perhaps as early as May 10, and likely not later than May 18.
  9. I was DQ'ed Feb. 1/23. Received my interview letter Wednesday night. June 26 interview
  10. Thanks for the advice! I'm the only one that needs to go for a medical so I think I'm better off making the medical and interview two separate trips with plenty of time between instead of taking a whole week or more off work. I had thought maybe I'd go to Dr. Cheema because I could probably fly there, have my medical, and fly home all in the same day. But maybe that's cutting it too close with airlines' reliability these days.
  11. Does anyone have a recommendation of which panel physician to go to for my medical? I live in Saskatchewan so I'll have to fly to whichever one I go to. Just wondering if there's one that has a history of a smoother process. I'm pretty sure I'm caught up on my vaccinations so that shouldn't be a problem.
  12. Does anyone know what significance the "Priority Date" has? Does it have any bearing on how quickly you have your interview? i.e. If two people with significantly different Priority Dates are DQ'ed the same day, is the one with the earlier Priority Date likely to have their interview sooner than the other?
