1. I'm not exactly sure, but I think her medical exam abroad was completed and approved around August 2022. I'm pretty sure this happened right before her K1 interview in Vietnam. How much did you end up paying for her new medical exam? And did you go through the process of finding a civil surgeon using USCIS's website? Were you able to review the I-693 before they sealed it and also were you able to get a duplicate copy? I heard these steps are important because if the doctor or whoever is responsible for filling out your I-693 messes up somewhere, it could mess up your entire case. But I'm really hoping that we won't have to go through this step.

I'm about to finish filling out my I-485, I-864, I-765, and I-131 forms and wanted to know if it will serve me any benefit in filling out and submitting form I-693 (Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) along with the AOS, Work Permit, and Travel Documents? My wife recently arrived to the US on a K1-Fiance visa. We got married, and she already got her medical exam done in Vietnam last August 2022. I heard that USCIS is now waiving the interview process if you submit the I-693. Or if they send you an RFE asking for the I-693, then your AOS/greencard interview gets automatically waived and you will receive your greencard, expediting the process. Can anyone confirm this?

I notice that on certain fields I'm unable to type anything. For example I am filling out form I-864, and in this box circled in red, I cannot type in anything. This is not the only part where I encounter problems like this. I have tried updating to the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, and also tried filling the form out on my MacBook Pro using both Preview.app and Adobe Acrobat as well and experience the exact same problem. Anyone else know why this is happening and how to fix it?

That's good to know. I thought you would need to wait for your official greencard approval and in hand in order for it to be legal for your spouse to stay. And I know it takes around a year or more to receive it. But now that you and others have mentioned, once I get the NOA after submitting my AOS packet. I will be okay. That was the part I was most concerned about. Thank you all once again.

I sponsored my fiance to come to the US via K1-visa, and then we got married a month later. Is there a deadline on when the I-485, I-767, and I-131 need to be submitted? I know the k1-visa grants her 90 days to stay within the US and within that time frame you must get married, but was wondering if that 90 day period also applies to submitting those other forms as well?

I have looked at the I-485 guide and still have a few questions. I will be submitting all 3 applications. Do I put each application and its required documents into 1 envelope each and then consolidate them all into 1 envelope and mail out just that? or do I keep them all in 3 seperate envelopes and mail them individually? Also where do I need to mail them to?

Thank you for pointing that out and clearing it up for me. Appreciate it greatly. Just for confirmation. There are 3 versions of this form: I-864, I-864EZ, and I-864A. My mom will be the joint sponsor as she meets the required 125% poverty income level to help my spouse get her greencard. So she will be filing form I-864 or I-864A? You mentioned that we both needed to file I-864 and I just wanted to make sure that I am filling out the correct ones.

Why isn't it relevant? I thought the name order needs to be correct or else you will have a lot of problems/confusions later on, such as buying a house, setting up a bank account, etc. Shouldn't the order of her name need to match and be consistent? Ever since she arrived here, her name appears in the wrong order on her marriage license, and social security card. I just want to make sure I do everything correctly to avoid having potential mistakes later on that can cost me a lot of money and are difficult to fix.

I am following the guide posted here and it says the I-130 form is for K-3 visa. My wife came here on a K-1 visa. As far as I know, the only forms I need when applying for a greencard/aos for my wife is I-485, I-765, and the I-131. Adjustment of Status (Green Card) Guide for K1 and K3 Visa Holders - US Immigration & Visa Guides - VisaJourney K-1 Visa Holders: Submit Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F ** K-3 Visa Holders: Submit Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-130

I've heard from someone that it's best to provide some sort of proof when applying for AOS. My wife came to the US on a K1 visa and we just got married and are about to apply for her AOS. Someone told me that we should have some of the following as proof as it will make our case stronger. Joint bank account Some bill/statement with both our names on it as proof of living together an active mobile number for my spouse Could someone confirm if this is true?
