  1. But how to correct the name order on the SS card? Not sure why they got the name order correct on the Green Card and Work Permit but not the SS card and Marriage Certificate. Makes no sense to me.
  2. When my wife came to the US via K1-Visa, we got married and got her a social security card. She is from Vietnam, so the name was copied in the same order that was shown on her passport which is (Middle, First, Last). However when she received her work permit card and green card, her name shows the correct order (First, Middle, Last). Will this change or affect anything in the future and we are wondering if we should get it the order of her name to show correctly for her SS card and Marriage Ceritifcate. Is it worth the trouble to even get it corrected. We don't want to waste our time getting it fixed if it's not going to be a problem in the long run.
  3. Okay so we came back from our interview and it lasted about 15-30 minutes. Our IO mostly spoke and asked my wife questions. I heard her looking on her computer and saying that everything looks good, but she did mention something about my wife's medical records saying it expired or something. She asked if we had anything to show, and we provided her with credit card statements, and photos. We brought more than we had to and she said she didn't need to see anything else. Hoping that it's a good sign that she trusts our marriage is real. But the only thing we're worried about ist he medical records. Towards the end she had my wife sign something on a tablet regarding the I-485, and the interview was over. I asked her when can we expect our results. She said 3-4 weeks/days (not sure which one). And she said that the card would be sent to our mail. I'm both excited and nervous as we don't know if she passed or not. Are there any signs we should be aware of if the IO thinks our case is fake? I was hoping that she could've provided with our results at the end of the interview. In case if for some reasno we're denied, I was hoping she could've tell us what we did wrong or what we're missing. How come some people are approved right away after the interview? I'm guessing if we didn't get an approval right after then there must be red flags in our process.
  4. How long did your interview last, and how long before you had your results? Did they ask to see any documents? If so, what did you provide them with. I'm hearing stories from some others that they didn't even ask to see any documents and the interview process lasted about 5 minutes. Of course, we are bringing whatever evidence we have and documents that was in the checklist in our appointment letter. I hope that will be enough.
  5. My wife who came here on a K1-Visa, and I are attending our interview soon and would like too know what sort of questions can we expect them to ask us. I'm really nervous and pray that we won't run into any difficulties that may delay her getting her greencard.
  6. Are you talking about the I-797C Notice of Action? That's the only piece of paper we've received, and on it it tells us our interview address and our appointment time and date and there's a section that says "You must bring the following items with you:" I don't see anywhere on it where it says "If required". Unless I'm looking at the wrong document.
  7. Is this really needed? We don't recall having a copy of our completed AoS packet (I-485, I-767, I-131). Why would they need it again when we already mailed all this stuff to them? What if you never made a copy of it or can't find it? And as far as medical records, somebody mentioned as a K1 visa holder, that it's already sent to DHS in a sealed folder upon her arrival to the US, so does she still have to get her medical exam again in the US. I don't think she has an I-693 application.
  8. Besides from the usual id, passport, etc. What do people usually bring? I'm very happy and nervous at the same time and don't want to mess anything up. We don't want to bring any more than what's needed. Cause I heard from most people that they don't even require much. But I noticed on the letter that we received that it says to bring tax transcripts, etc. Don't they already have this on file when we submitted all this stuff when we filed our AOS Packet (I-485, I-767, I-131)? I already included all those already. Why are they asking for it again?
