  1. Does the address contain more than 1 road name? E.g. 123 Road, 3rd Avenue
  2. @Edd82, did you figure this out?

  4. That's a killer wait time. Best of luck to you.
  5. I see. My understanding is that once you're DQ'd, you've already established a place "in line". Adding additional documents shouldn't affect that. Let's see if others have anything to say about that.
  6. Woohoo! Time to celebrate with some kbbq and soju.
  7. I'd imagine the best solution would be to upload the new passport along with a comment to explain the situation.

  10. We submitted March 6th! Fingers crossed everyone gets DQ'd on the first try!!!
  11. Yeah, kind of convoluted, but it is what it is, so we just give them what they ask for. Maybe you can leave a comment or note somewhere that explains the situation just to be safe, but my bet is that you'll be okay. By the way, you can specifically request for an English version of the Household Registration Transcript so you can skip translating that document at least.
  12. I'm going the Consular Route but if you read here, it clearly states that everyone applying for an immigrant visa will need to submit: 1) Household Registration Record 戶口名簿 AND 2a) a Birth Certificate issued by hospital OR 2b) a "Birth registration record" issued by the Office of Household Registration 內政部戶政司 I don't know what the Birth registration record is in Chinese, but from the looks of it, it's something that the Office of Household Registration has for everyone. You can ask your wife or her family to call and ask: (02)7750-5096
  13. Excellent. This is great information and surprisingly logical.
  14. Noted. 🙏 1. Are you aware of any tax implications or reporting requirements for transferring your own overseas money to the U.S.? 2. I-864: Even though I'll fill in "0" for my current individual annual income, do I still need to supply Evidence of Income? 3. If so, I may have a little difficulty as A) my company doesn't use pay stubs and B) I haven't notified my employer of my intent to move back to the U.S. and doing so may affect my job security which means I may not be able to safely attain a letter from my employer. In this scenario, would a Tax Withholding Statement suffice?
  15. Thanks for the suggestion @pushbrk. Have you seen cases where the petitioner & applicant solely rely on a Joint Sponsor to qualify?
  16. Apologies if this has been discussed to no end. I couldn't narrow down on the keywords to search for. A brief intro: I'm part of the January 2022 cohort and currently at the NVC stage waiting for fees to process, coming across an issue that I'm seeking advice on. My wife and I live abroad and since my foreign income does not qualify for the I-864, should I include my assets while filling in the form and attaching evidence or simply rely on my Joint Sponsor who is well-qualified? I would need to transfer my USD to a US bank account The USD cash portion would barely be enough to qualify (just around 60K, I believe) But I also have some US-based investments and Roth (totaling to around 30K, at present moment) Obviously the goal would be to avoid an RFE, but I know I'm blessed to be at the NVC stage where processing time is about a month. Any advice or suggestions are welcome! 🙏
