  1. My timeline (updated): Sep 12th: I received a biometrics appointment letter Sep 29th: Biometrics appointment. Sep 29th: Case tracking status changed to "Actively being reviewed" following biometrics appointment. And now the wait continues....
  2. Any change for your parents yet? I’m in a somewhat similar situation with me being the primary beneficiary and my wife, the derivative beneficiary. My timeline: May 15th: Paid immigration and processing fees for my wife and myself. July 1st: We entered the US via San Francisco. July 7th: We received our SSNs (both). Aug 3rd: We received notice that our GCs were being produced. Aug 8th: Wife received notice that her GC was mailed. Aug 11th: Wife received her GC. I’m still waiting for an update on my GC.
  3. Just to add, don't lose faith if the passport is not sent out on the Friday immediately following the interview, as mine was sent out 2+ weeks after said interview even though the visa was "issued" the day after the interview.
  4. Cool - I'm pretty sure you'll get back every single piece of paper - I did 😁
  5. @chevin I got my copies certified just to be on the safe side, though it might not have been required. @kiwipete Hopefully you sorted this but if memory serves me correctly you might be able to pay for the courier services there (I think I saw it on display there when I went for my interview), but I supplied mine while dropping off the documents, and got back the passports in in it.
  6. All good, no worries! Make sure you take your passport along with you, as it was requested at every step in the process (more so for verification that they're handling the right person and file) as you'll be interacting with different members of staff along the way.
  7. Hey @chevin, Everything was done electronically; they didn't use the paper forms nor the six (6) pictures each my wife and I took along with us - we were photographed at the beginning of the medical. I did ask if the pictures we took along with us were needed and the response was that they'd only be required if our respective eMedical files were inaccessible. Also, I opted to personally drop off my documents at the consulate on the same day, ahead of the medical appointment, as both locations are about 5mins apart (walking distance); otherwise I would have had to fly back to AKL or courier the documents.
  8. Nice! Gimme a holler if you have any questions. I did the the medical recently at CityMed in AKL and it was pretty easily, though a bit expensive as my wife and I had to get a few booster shots each along with the expected medical fee and x-rays. Also the consulate said it was ok to drop-off the documents earlier than the week before the interview, and being as I was already in AKL for the medical, I dropped them off same day.
  9. @chevin congrats! @kiwipete @kiwierin - Any updates yet? 🤞
  10. No worries - I've not called back the consulate yet, but will do so later this week into next week (well ahead of the medical date) and will post an update thereafter.
  11. No worries! I am based in Wellington but was always going to do the medical in AKL, as the reviews for the then WLG location weren't exactly comforting for me. After getting the interview letter earlier this week, I double-checked the AKL consulate's checklist, at which point I noticed that the WLG location was removed (I even have printouts from a few weeks ago with it listed then). Additional info (if needed 😀) AKL Consulate Checklist: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/ACK-Auckland.html The following was confirmed by the AKL consulate via email to me yesterday: If you wish to drop-off the documents at the consulate in AKL, it has to be done Mon-Fri between 8am-3pm. There's a drop box for IV documents on our floor. You can also include a self-addressed envelope with the documents at the same time. I need to confirm if I can drop off the documents a few weeks prior the interview (the checklist suggests the week before), as I planned to drop them off on the day of the medical. I did ask that question, but it wasn't answered in the email so I'll try again. I wouldn't expect it to be a problem, but I'd rather ask first. Will provide an update accordingly. Gimme a holler if needs be🙃
  12. @kiwierin Thanks for that! Keep us updated! @kiwipete Those dates are reasonable 😀. I'd only say the range of dates for receiving the interview date, as I've seen based on reports, is between the 18th-29th of the month, and the interviews are typically scheduled for a Wednesday. Of course, all of this is based on user reported data. Sidebar: Citymed in Auckland is now the only approved place for doing medicals. The Wellington location has been recently removed from the list. Leaving this here, just in case 🙂.
  13. Just got my interview date, 5mins ago for April 26th. Happy days!!!
  14. Hi, No update yet, still waiting on the interview letter/date. I'm optimistic about getting something this week though based on me obsessively researching, but let's see. If that's the case you might get something as well, based on timing - fingers and toes crossed 🙂.
  15. Hi there, Just wondering if anybody has had any IV interviews at the AKL consulate since the start of the 2023? And if so, what was the timeline between being DQed by NVC and getting the interview letter, and what was the scheduled interview date? For context, I'm awaiting an interview date for a FB-4 visa (along with my spouse as the accompanying beneficiary), so I recognize that this might be a bit different to the general applicants/beneficiaries in this thread - but this was the only reasonable active AKL-specific thread that I could find. A summary of my timeline to date is as follows: Priority date: Feb 15, 2006 NVC docs submitted and fees paid: December 6, 2022 (resubmitted on January 10, 2023, due to the need to use the NZ Police Vetting Service for police records) NVC DQed: February 1, 2023 I'm just trying to get a feel of how much longer it might be to get the interview letter, and by extension, the interview itself. Any info would be appreciated - thanks in advance.
